When it comes to new and exciting restaurants, Vancouver is the place to be. There’s always something tasty to eat in the city. But with so many new spots opening their doors, it can be hard to keep track of what to look forward to.
So, naturally, we compiled a list of some of the most anticipated restaurants coming to Vancouver.
From Italian delis to hot fried chicken chains, Michelin-recommended restaurants opening new locations, and new locations from Korean donut brands, these are some of the anticipated Vancouver restaurant openings to watch for.
Jo’s Italian Deli

Jo’s Italian Deli broke the news online that it will be opening a new location in the city.
“We heard you,” shared Jo’s Italian Deli on TikTok. “We’ve been keeping a little secret, but we’re shy, so stay tuned!”
If this new location is anything like its two other spots, we expect to find classics like rigatoni in slow-cooked homemade meat sauce, potato gnocchi in homemade pesto cream sauce, and spaghetti and meatballs, alongside its selection of Italian grocery and pantry staples.
As for an exact location, the deli did not provide an address aside from the fact that it’s coming to Vancouver.

Goldie’s Vancouver and North Vancouver

Goldie’s Donuts opened its first Metro Vancouver location just last year in West Vancouver. Here, the donut shop was serving up fluffy brioche donuts fermented for 24 hours with delicious cream fillings and glazes, all made in-house. Later, Goldie’s opened a Langley location, drawing lines and selling out during the first weeks of opening.
Now, the brand shared with Dished that it plans to open a location in Vancouver proper as well as in North Vancouver at the former home of Andrew’s on Eighth.

Dave’s Hot Chicken — Vancouver

A representative from Dave’s Hot Chicken confirmed to Dished that the new Vancouver outpost is expected to open at 901 Granville St. (the former home of the now-closed Cinema Public House) in Q1 of 2026.
This stretch of Granville has seen quite a few additions in the fast food scene, with Taco Bell recently opening its only Vancouver location alongside a new KFC outpost.

Bonus Bakery

Last year, the fan-favourite spot for vegan baked goods, Bonus Bakery, moved from its brick-and-mortar storefront into its current home at 401 Burrard St., where it currently shares counterspace with Freshii. Many, including us, missed visiting the storefront and indulging in some yummy sweet treats.
Fast forward to today, and the bakery has just shared with Dished that it plans to reopen a new dedicated storefront.
“We always wanted to reopen a storefront because we miss seeing people enjoying our treats live!” said co-founder Pierrick Tanguy.
Located at 1428 Vernon Dr., Vancouver, the new cafe will be found in the back of the Yellow Cab parking lot in a location that Tanguy described as a “hole-in-the-wall.”

Jeju Vancouver

Whether you’re a frequent visitor to Vancouver Island or a Vancouver dining devotee, this announcement is sure to spark some excitement: Jeju, an acclaimed restaurant in Tofino, is opening a Vancouver location this month.
Known for a menu of refined Korean dishes — like its signature 35-day aged Galbi — and its deeply rooted family ties, Jeju owners Sungeun “Sung” Kim and Yunyoung “Dylan” Kim said this new location represents a longtime dream.
“Vancouver has been home for most of my life since immigrating from Korea,” Chef Dylan told us during a sneak peek of the new restaurant last month.

Slo Coffee
A little over a year after launching its first location, Slo Coffee is coming to downtown Vancouver.
Signs for the new Slo Coffee location have popped up at 609 Granville St., attached to Pacific Centre and steps away from the Granville SkyTrain station.

The team behind Zab Bites is gearing up to open a new restaurant in Vancouver called Charm.
“In Thai, Charm (ชาม) means ‘bowl’ — a vessel for food that symbolizes the way Thai meals are traditionally shared and the hospitality we wish to bring to every table. In English, the word reflects the warmth and welcoming atmosphere we want our guests to experience,” the restaurant said to Dished.
We’re told to expect an upscale casual restaurant rooted in authentic Thai flavours presented with a polished touch.

Dante Commercial Drive

You may already be familiar with Dante and its sandwich game. The original Robson Street location serves up authentic Italian sandwiches on house-made schiacciata bread and often sells out before the end of the day.
Now, the shop is launching a second location at 1110 Commercial Dr., bringing its popular sandwich artistry to a new neighbourhood in the city. Dante Commercial Drive will offer seats for 14, along with its signature menu of sandwiches layered with fresh ingredients like Stracciatella cheese, mortadella, tomato, prosciutto, mozzarella, and salami.

Onigiri Ya — Downtown Vancouver
Onigiri Ya confirmed to Dished that it will be opening at 202 — 345 Robson St., at Library Square.
“Just like our Broadway location, this will be a Grab & Go concept—perfect for the busy downtown crowd looking for an affordable, quick, and delicious lunch option,” shared Onigiri Ya.
Plus, if it’s anything like its Broadway spot, you can expect a variety of tasty onigiri starting at just $1.99.

TOUK

Chef Chanthy Yen dominated Top Chef Canada Season 11, and now, he’s about to tackle a new exciting challenge: launching a restaurant in Vancouver.
The acclaimed chef shared that he will open his first in the city, TOUK, as co-owner and executive chef. The concept started as a small pop-up during the pandemic in Montreal back in 2020.
Slated to open in November 2025, this spot brands itself as a first-of-its-kind and promises contemporary Cambodian eats.

Lucky Lily Asian Brasserie
The dining scene at YVR Airport is about to get a little bit more exciting, as Top Chef Canada: All-Stars winner Chef Nicole Gomes is opening a new dine-in and grab-and-go concept.
“We’re feeling Lucky to have @chefngomes become a part of our culinary journey at YVR!” shared the airport on Instagram.
Called Lucky Lily Asian Brasserie, YVR Airport wrote that this will be a restaurant “where Asian street food meets contemporary dining.”

Cockney Kings Main Street
The fish and chip restaurant broke the news on Instagram earlier this month, inviting those who would be attending Car Free Day on Main Street to learn more about the new location.
“Help us celebrate the upcoming opening of our soon-to-be NEW location at 4360 Main St.!” wrote the restaurant.
Founded in 1965 in Burnaby by Len and Joan Evans, Cockney King’s is one of the most popular fish and chip spots in Metro Vancouver, joining the likes of The Fish Counter and Sea House Fish and Chips (which has since closed, but the new restaurant taking its place still serves the same fish recipe).

Oidé Coffee Lab and Roastery
Vancouver’s Oidé Coffee has become a much-loved spot for years due to its dedication to quality coffee and service. Now, after over three years of operation, the team is gearing up to open a new coffee lab and roastery.
“We signed a lease last month for Oidé Coffee Lab and Roastery,” shared the cafe on Instagram.
An exact location and opening date have yet to be announced, but Oidé did share that it hopes to start roasting sometime in the spring or summer of 2026.
Krispy Kreme Vancouver
A representative from Krispy Kreme confirmed to Dished that the brand is preparing to open a location at 519 West Broadway, Vancouver.
For a while, the only Krispy Kreme location in all of B.C. was in Delta. This will be the brand’s second location in the province.

Kam Wai Legacy
Signs of Kam Wai Dim Sum have appeared at the former location of Viet Thanh Supermarket.
Kam Wai has been a Chinatown staple for over 30 years and is best known for its affordable frozen and prepared-at-home dim sum classics, as well as its grab-and-go steamed buns, ready-to-eat dim sum, and other seasonal offerings, such as moon cakes for the Mid-Autumn Festival.

Nomad — Harry Jerome Community Recreation Centre and Kitsilano
Nomad Coffee was just announced as the cafe operator for the new Harry Jerome Community Recreation Centre in North Vancouver.
“The City of North Vancouver is pleased to welcome Nomad Coffee as the cafe operator in the new Harry Jerome Community Recreation Centre,” said City of North Vancouver Mayor Linda Buchanan. “As a well-loved local business, Nomad Coffee will offer more than just food and beverages—it will create a vibrant, inclusive space where community connections are fostered and lasting memories are made. The cafe will enhance the overall visitor experience, provide local job opportunities and champion environmentally responsible practices that they are known for, which reflect the sustainable design embedded in this state-of-the-art facility.”
Additionally, Nomad has been preparing to open a new Kitsilano location in the near future.

Cha Tra Mue Vancouver
The self-proclaimed number-one tea brand in Thailand — Cha Tra Mue — is making its way to Vancouver with its first-ever location in Western Canada.
“Since 1945, Cha Tra Mue has been the heart and soul of Thailand’s tea culture,” said the tea shop. “Generations of tea lovers have grown up with the rich, creamy, and fragrant taste of our original Thai tea blend — a closely guarded recipe that’s been perfected over 80+ years.”
At its Vancouver outpost, the tea brand said it’s dedicated to sharing that same real taste of Thailand’s favourite tea.

Nami Vietnamese Coal Harbour
Nami told Dished that the new location will open in the former Glory Juice location in the Oxford Properties’ Oceanic Plaza building at 1066 West Hastings St. It also shared that this new spot will be more food-focused. But don’t worry, it will still offer the same Vietnamese coffee and matcha people have grown to love.
An exact opening date has yet to be shared, but Nami said that it expects to open sometime between late winter and early spring.

C Market Coffee Vancouver
C Market confirmed to Dished that it will be opening its first location in Vancouver, and its location will be over 5,000 sq. ft.
For those unfamiliar with the brand, it’s a Korean-inspired cafe that currently operates three locations in Metro Vancouver, found in Pitt Meadows, Port Coquitlam, and Coquitlam.
Located at 5185 Main St., C Market Vancouver is right on the cusp of Queen Elizabeth Park and a quick 10-minute walk from Nat Bailey Stadium.

Paragon Tea Room Vancouver

Michelle Cheung, co-founder of Paragon Tea, told Dished that the company is opening a new location at 3432 Cambie St. and has signed a long-term lease, meaning it won’t be going anywhere for a while.
This location will feature a menu filled with classic Paragon offerings, including its selection of matcha, hojicha, and other teas.
As for the space, Cheung said customers can expect a more elevated and comfortable urban oasis vibe, with the intention of merging the traditional aspects of tea with the North American urban lifestyle.

Uchu Cevicheria & Raw Bar

After getting its start in Victoria, Superbaba first landed in Vancouver as a food truck and then eventually opened its first brick-and-mortar location in Mount Pleasant. Now, the fast-casual Middle Eastern restaurant is gearing up to open its second Vancouver location at The Post.

Gigi’s
Glowbal Restaurant Group, the team behind much-loved Vancouver restaurants like Black + Blue, Five Sails, Coast, and many more, has recently revealed that it’ll be opening a new restaurant concept in the heart of Vancouver’s financial district.
Called Gigi’s, the new restaurant will be serving up bold Mediterranean flavours alongside a sophisticated energy.
Not many details about the new restaurant have been revealed yet, but Glowbal did share that it will be an 8,000 sq. ft. restaurant that will seat 220 guests and offer a large patio.

Miku Richmond

The Pioneers of Aburi sushi in Canada, Aburi Restaurants Canada, have shared an update about a new location opening in Metro Vancouver. This time, the well-known group is launching Miku Richmond at the River Rock Casino Resort.
Miku first opened in Coal Harbour in 2008, and later, a Toronto Miku location was added to the mix. The new Richmond location is set to launch this summer, offering the same award-winning contemporary Japanese cuisine Miku fans know and love.
The Aburi Restaurant concept will join the brand-new Gordon Ramsay Steak at the River Rock, making the casino resort quite the destination for folks seeking top-notch grub in Richmond.

Pokey Okey Food Hall
The Pokey Okey Group (behind the poke restaurant of the same name) confirmed to Dished that it is gearing up to open a vibrant new food hall in Richmond.
For starters, Pokey Okey will be making its return to Richmond after having closed its original Richmond location in early 2025.
“Fans of the original will rejoice as this revival brings back the same signature flavours and hard-working team that made it a local favourite before its closure earlier this year,” said a representative from the Pokey Okey Group.
But for folks looking for something new, they’re also in luck. A new fast-casual Japanese eatery, specializing in gyudon, called Oishinoya, will be opening alongside a whimsical Japanese cafe called Nonbiri.
