Vancouver restaurant chain will shutter its two Metro Vancouver locations soon

The restaurant industry is fickle, and many spots in and around Vancouver have either closed or recently announced plans to close. Now, another restaurant has shared that it plans to close two of its three locations.
Pokey Okey broke the news on Instagram that it is closing its Richmond and Burnaby locations.
“After many years, we are closing our Anderson and Kingsway locations,” said the poke restaurant. “This wasn’t an easy decision, but we want you to knowāthis is not goodbye forever.”
Pokey Okey specializes in Hawaiian poke bowls with a variety of toppings to choose from and is spam musubi. In 2018, the restaurant served up a limited-time $100 luxury poke bowl featuring butter-basted lobster, torched wagyu tenderloin, black garlic truffle aioli, lobster rice, flying fish roe, lobster hollandaise, black truffle, yuzu daikon oroshi, and frisee salad.

However, those still looking to get their Pokey Okey fix can visit the chain’s Vancouver location at 995 Hornby Street.
“This isnāt the end ā just the beginning of something new. We will be back to serve you, Richmond & Burnaby,” concluded the restaurant.
Pokey Okey did not provide a closure date, but both its Anderson and Kingsway locations are currently listed as “temporarily closed” on Google.
