Vancouver's much-loved vegan bakery to reopen storefront next month

Last year, the fan-favourite spot for vegan baked goods, Bonus Bakery, moved from its brick-and-mortar storefront into its current home at 401 Burrard St., where it currently shares counterspace with Freshii. Many, including us, missed visiting the storefront and indulging in some yummy sweet treats.
Fast forward to today, and the bakery has just shared with Dished that it plans to reopen a new dedicated storefront.
“We always wanted to reopen a storefront because we miss seeing people enjoying our treats live!” said co-founder Pierrick Tanguy.
Located at 1428 Vernon Dr., Vancouver, the new cafe will be found in the back of the Yellow Cab parking lot in a location that Tanguy described as a “hole-in-the-wall.”

The space will be small but mighty, coming in at 250 sq. ft. with three to five seats.
“This is an old building, really a hidden location, but I think we will fit the exact definition of ‘hidden gem,'” added Tanguy.
As for what you can expect, Tanguy shared that this location will offer exclusive goodies like cronuts alongside specific cookies and donut flavours.

For those unfamiliar, Bonus Bakery is a 100% plant-based bakery that’s been operating in Vancouver since 2018.
“We offer (amazing!) baked goods with 0 animal products that taste as good — if not better — than their counterparts,” wrote the bakery on its website.
An exact opening date for Bonus Bakery’s new storefront has yet to be announced, but expect to visit sometime in mid-November.
