Dave's Hot Chicken is coming to Vancouver — here's what we know

Fried chicken lovers, listen up! U.S. based chicken chain Dave’s Hot Chicken is officially opening its first B.C. location right here in Vancouver.

A representative from Dave’s Hot Chicken confirmed to Dished that the new Vancouver outpost is expected to open at 901 Granville St. (the former home of the now-closed Cinema Public House) in Q1 of 2026.

This stretch of Granville has seen quite a few additions in the fast food scene, with Taco Bell recently opening its only Vancouver location alongside a new KFC outpost.

Dave’s Hot Chicken first opened in 2017, in an East Hollywood parking lot, but has since expanded to dozens of locations around the world. Its popularity was cemented when Canadian rapper Drake acquired a stake in the company in 2021.

The concept has several locations across Canada, including Ontario, Edmonton, and Calgary.

It’s a concise menu, consisting of just chicken tenders, sliders, and a handful of sides. However, its chicken can be customized to one of seven different heat levels, from zero spice right up to its legendary tear-inducing “Reaper” heat.

It also offers fries, kale slaw, and real ice cream milkshakes to help cool off from the serious spice.

An exact opening date for Dave’s Hot Chicken Vancouver location has yet to be announced, but Dished reached out for more information so stay tuned.
