Vancouver cafe known for banh mi and Vietnamese coffee teases new location — here's what we know

One of Vancouver’s favourite spots for banh mi is preparing to open a second location in the city, this time leaving downtown Vancouver.
Nami Vietnamese shared the news on Instagram that it plans to open a new location in Coal Harbour.
“Exciting news: your fav Vietnamese café is officially opening a new location!” shared Nami online.
You may remember Nami’s pop-up at the Bentall Centre, where it first started pouring up classic Vietnamese coffee. Since then, it has opened a permanent location in the lobby of the HSBC building at 885 W Georgia St.

Nami is best known for its banh mi, of course, in addition to its line of vermicelli bowls, and fun drink offerings (examples include its black sesame milk foam Vietnamese coffee).
Nami told Dished that the new location will open in the former Glory Juice location in the Oxford Properties’ Oceanic Plaza building at 1066 West Hastings St. It also shared that this new spot will be more food-focused. But don’t worry, it will still offer the same Vietnamese coffee and matcha people have grown to love.
An exact opening date has yet to be shared, but Nami said that it expects to open sometime between late winter and early spring.
This new spot isn’t the only Vancouver restaurant eyeing Coal Harbour for expansion. Recently, Social Corner shared the opening date for its highly anticipated Coal Harbour location, in addition to a new Ciclo Café and Cocktail Bar location. Additionally, the popular % Arabica will be returning to Oakridge Park Gallery, located steps away from the Vancouver Convention Centre.
