Vancouver fish and chip restaurant closing after nearly three decades and people are upset

It’s always sad when a restaurant closes its doors, but it hurts even more when it’s a spot like the Sea House Fish and Chips, which has been serving the Vancouver community for nearly three decades.
Known to many as one of the best fish and chips spots in the city, Sea House broke the sad news on Facebook, adding that the reason for the closure was that the two owners were going into a well-earned retirement.
“Affectionately known by many loyal customers as ‘the two grandmothers,’ they’ve been the heart and soul of The Sea House Fish and Chips since 1997,” said Sea House. “For almost three decades, they’ve proudly served what many consider Vancouver’s best thin-battered fish, prawns, and calamari.”
After 28 years, the duo will hang up their aprons and close Sea House on Monday, May 26, at 9 p.m.
“Thank you for your unwavering support and for being part of this unforgettable chapter,” concluded the restaurant.

. You are inspiring and the prices were way too low for the quality!” added another.
