A new food hall is opening in Metro Vancouver soon — here's everything we know so far
What’s better than one restaurant opening? Multiple restaurants opening in the same spot, of course.
After getting exciting new concepts like Threefold Brewing’s three-in-one brewery concept and Tricity Pavilion, which houses both Nemesis and Gigi’s by Ask for Luigi location, we now have another spot to look forward to.
The Pokey Okey Group (behind the poke restaurant of the same name) confirmed to Dished that it is gearing up to open a vibrant new food hall in Richmond.
Located in the Paramount Building — across from Richmond Centre and next to Brighouse SkyTrain Station — is this new three-in-one dining concept.
For starters, Pokey Okey will be making its return to Richmond after having closed its original Richmond location in early 2025.
“Fans of the original will rejoice as this revival brings back the same signature flavours and hard-working team that made it a local favourite before its closure earlier this year,” said a representative from the Pokey Okey Group.
But for folks looking for something new, they’re also in luck.

Oishinoya, a fast-casual Japanese eatery specializing in gyudon (stewed beef rice bowls) alongside other fan-favourite dishes like katsu and karaage, will be opening in the new food hall.
Additionally, Nonbiri Cafe will also be opening its doors. The Pokey Okey Group described Nonbiri as “a whimsical Japanese cafe with a Vancouver twist. This quirky spot blends traditional Japanese cafe culture with West Coast-inspired food and drink offerings, creating a cozy yet innovative space to relax and indulge.”
“Whether you’re craving comforting classics, bold Japanese flavours, or a unique cafe experience, this food hall promises a diverse and exciting culinary adventure,” concluded the restaurant group.
The new three-in-one food hall is expected to open sometime this summer.
Additionally, Pokey Okey recently opened its anime-themed location P0key Okey Sokudo at 2421 Kingsway, Vancouver.
