One of Vancouver's favourite coffee shops is opening a new downtown location

When Slo Coffee opened its first location in the Fraserhood neighbourhood, it was always about more than just serving good coffee.

“In a world that often seems to whirl by in a blur, we believe in the life-affirming necessity of taking and making time. We don’t just make coffee; we make time,” shared Paul Irwin, co-owner of Slo Coffee with Colin Lai, when they announced their Fraserhood spot.

Now, a little over a year after launching its first location, the team is bringing that same concept to downtown Vancouver.

Signs for the new Slo Coffee location have popped up at 609 Granville St., attached to Pacific Centre and steps away from Granville SkyTrain station.

Aside from that, not much is known about the new location. But if it’s anything like its Fraserhood counterpart, you can expect to find standout drinks served in a stunning interior designed for sitting back and relaxing.

This stretch on Granville Street has seen some changes in recent months, with Take Five Cafe leaving the building after operating there for 10 years alongside Meinhardt (with the space slated to become a new Aburi Market location).
