Slimâs BBQ
The 2301 Main Street address may seem familiar if you were a fan of the Rumpus Room, which occupied this space up until recently. Before that, vegetarian mainstay The Foundation operated at this corner. Now, Slimâs (which is the newest iteration of Dixieâs BBQ, by the way) is open and ready to feed you Texas-style BBQ.

Donky Chicken is open, and that means itâs Vancouverâs newest spot to get authentic Korean fried chicken. The new crispy-fried eatery is open at 363 E Broadway in Mount Pleasant. This is the KFC brandâs first Canadian location âoverseasâ according to its Instagram account.

Wurst of Us (takeout and delivery only)

The wurst thing ever just happenedâŚno really, a new spot for vegan hot dogs is here, and itâs called Wurst of Us. This plant-based concept is the new sister company of Aleph Middle Eastern Eatery (1889 Powell Street). Wurst of Us offers folks delicious vegan hot dogs, nachos, homemade root beer, and cheesecake for pickup and delivery only.
Acquafarina
Dished Vancouver was the first to give patrons a glimpse of this stunning new fine-dining Italian restaurant in the heart of downtown. The stunning 200-seat eatery, which features intricate woodwork, one-of-a-kind European antiques, copper details, and sky-high ceilings, is located at the northwest corner of the intersection of West Georgia Street and Homer Street downtown.

Good Pizza (takeaway only)
Good Pizza offers a unique style of pizza that features a dense, crunchy, and chewy crust loaded with cheese and toppings, and we mean like, loaded with toppings. Pre-orders are very much required for this concept — and those open online on Wednesdays.
Autostrada â Vancouver House (takeaway only)

Autostrada Vancouver House offers seating for 70 people in a comfortable and timeless room. This is the third location for this restaurant concept in the city. This outpost is open for takeaway only as it awaits its liquor licence.

New Vancouver restaurants opening soon
Juanita
Kitsilano, youâre in for a treat. New all-day dining concept âJuanitaâ is gearing up to open, and pretty soon at that. Located at 1516 Yew Street, the eatery has taken over the space formerly occupied by shuttered jazz destination the Blue Martini Cafe, directly across the street from Nook and Local.

Luigi & Sons
Calling all steak lovers, the Toptable Group is gearing up to open a brand new quality provisions spot and butcher shop: Luigi & Sons. This new destination is brought to us by the team behind Elisa steakhouse, so you know itâs going to be good (and John Cena approved).

Ăa Marche isnât the only concept thatâs planning to bring some French flair to Vancouver House, as local favourite Linh Cafe is opening a new location at the development also. Linh Cafeâs team confirmed to Dished Vancouver that an outpost would be opening at 1428 Granville Street (exact unit to-be-revealed).

Breka Bakery & Cafe
Breka Bakery & Cafe is set to be âcoming soonâ to Main Street, according to signage at the new location. The popular destination is known for offering up delicious baked goods and savoury eats 24 hours a day, seven days a week. Brekaâs logo is plastered on the windows and door at 4554 Main Street, which is located just a few blocks from Sulaâs newly opened restaurant.

A representative from the new Hornby Street eatery told Dished Vancouver patrons can expect a French-meets-West Coast food program complete with comfort foods, French classics, oysters, and fresh salads and mains.

A new must-try Italian restaurant, LâOnore Pizza, is slated to open in Metro Vancouver this winter. Set to open on East Royal Avenue in New Westminster, LâOnore will offer hand-crafted, wholesome, Italian-inspired cuisine.
Grab N Go
With no visible online presence just yet, there are not too many details on Grab N Go at this point, but the eatery is advertising dine-in, takeout, and delivery options for its grub once it opens.

Slated to open at 2415 Main Street in early 2021, the folks behind this project include Do Chayâs Patrick Do, seasoned hospitality veteran Kevin Lin, and actor-producer and actor-writer Osric Chau and Nicholas Carey, respectively.

It was confirmed to Daily Hive that Jollibeeâs first BC location is slated to take over 833 Granville Street, the former location of ShuRaku Sake Bar & Bistro, which closed in September 2018. Quite possibly the most highly anticipated “opening soon” eatery on this list of new Vancouver restaurants, we’ll be sure to keep you posted on this one.
