Soon Coffee slated to open in The Amazing Brentwood
Affordable, high-quality coffee? That’s getting harder to find these days, but one Calgary-based company is bringing it to Burnaby’s The Amazing Brentwood, and it also happens to be their first foray into BC’s existing top-notch coffee scene.
Soon Coffee is a new project from Monogram Coffee, a brand that operates three existing Calgary locations and offers coffee delivery across Canada as well as a wholesale option for their custom roasted beans.
While Monogram’s name packs some serious punch in the Canadian coffee world, Soon is going to be something entirely new for the team.

Soon Coffee will be opening in The Amazing Brentwood’s food court as an island to-go bar with 360-degree coffee service.
Tentatively slated to open in February 2021, the Soon Coffee team told Dished that the idea behind this concept was all about inclusivity and accessibility.

Jeremy Ho, co-founder of Monogram and Soon Coffee, said he too often hears that people are intimidated by coffee culture and that they don’t know what to order or feel overwhelmed by the complex flavour profiles.
“There are some barriers that a lot of people feel they come up against when trying to get into coffee,” says Ho. “People are beginning to feel alienated by the coffee industry.”
That’s why with Soon, the low prices (we’re talking around $2 for a drip) and a simple menu of easy-to-understand and delicious varieties are the backbones of the concept.
Ho says folks can expect espresso-based drinks at cheaper prices than you’d find at a local chain.

While details for local food partners are still being firmed down, we can confirm that in addition to coffee, Soon will offer a small menu of treats and snacks from fantastic, recognizable makers.
