It’s been a long time coming, but the crew at Timbertrain Coffee Roasters has officially opened the doors to their second coffee spot in East Van, Depot.
Located at 551 McLean Drive (right around the corner from Earnest Ice Cream on Fraser Street) Depot is operating daily from 8 am to 1 pm during its soft launch for the next two weeks.

Just like Timbertrain’s Gastown location, Depot is a visually intriguing space.
The 1,800 square-foot spot has elevated platforms at the front for patrons to lounge on, and a ramp up to a space at the back with a large table meant for educational coffee chats and workshops (coming at ya in the next few months).

This new neighbourhood gem has the classic and meticulous Timbertrain slow bar serving up caffeinated bevys, along with freshly-roasted coffee beans being made before your eyes.
Depot blurs the lines between production and a traditional retail storefront, and we kind of love it.

Expect the same quality baked goods like scones and cookies, treats that pair perfectly with your artisan coffee that’s so good putting cream in it is basically a sin.

The open concept space is refreshing, and the educational show-and-tell coffee and roasting vibes we’re picking up are exciting – we look forward to seeing what Depot can do for coffee lovers in Vancouver.
Depot will be open from 8 am to 1 pm for the next few weeks.
