The popular international rice cake chain was founded in China in 2011. It opened its first BC location in RichmondāsĀ Continental Plaza. Nam Dae Moon currently operates itsĀ three other Canadian shops in Toronto.

NeNe Chicken
South Korean-founded NeNe Chicken has opened its first-ever North American location in Vancouver. The new outpost is located at 1070 Kingsway. NeNe Chicken is an international chain with locations across the globe, including in Japan, Singapore, Australia, and of course, Korea.

John 3:16 Malaysian Delights

Puro Chile, a new Chilean fast food restaurant, just opened in Vancouver. The fresh 1101 Denman Street spot took over the former location ofĀ Fat Burger in the West End, which closed in late 2020. According to its website, Puro was “born after the need of Chilean food in Vancouverā and it offers traditional dishes and drinks such as churrascos, chorrillanas, pisco sour, jote, borgoƱa, and more.

Meltwich operates several other locations in Ontario, Alberta, and Saskatchewan. The fast-casual brand is known for its burgers, poutines, milkshakes, and a wide variety of grilled cheese sandwiches.

New Vancouver restaurants opening soon
OEB Breakfast Co. ā Brentwood
Popular all-day brunch spot OEB Breakfast Co. has finally released the official opening date of its new location in Metro Vancouver after some serious delays. TheĀ Calgary-based brandĀ opened its first BC location inĀ Vancouverās Yaletown neighbourhood back in Spring 2019. This will be itsĀ second restaurant in the province, it opens on May 3.

Charcuterie Vancouver announced a storefront is officially in the works and itās slated to open this summer. The purveyor revealed the shop will be located atĀ 2766 West 4th Avenue in Kitsilano, which is just a hop, skip, and a jump from the beach (picnics to-go, anyone?).

Mister Ice Cream Bar is gearing up to open its second Vancouver outpost in Kitsilano this summer.
