New Vancouver restaurants opening soon to keep on your radar

Vancouver’s culinary scene is constantly evolving, and new restaurants seem to be opening left, right, and centre. But with so many openings, it can be hard to keep track of what is coming and where it’ll be opening.

That’s why we compiled a list of some of the most exciting restaurant openings in and around Vancouver. From the return of a much-loved Yaletown staple to a bakery specializing in Portuguese custard tarts, there are so many new spots to keep on your radar.

Angus T

A representative from Angus T told Dished that it would be opening two new locations in the South West Marine Drive and River District neighbourhoods.

“South West Marina Drive, which will be a central kitchen for Angus T, mainly focuses on product making and testing,” said Angus T. However, it did share that they plan to open a few hours every day to customers for large order pick-ups and a limited croissant and coffee service for the neighbourhood.

As for the River District, the cafe said it was excited to be opening in the heart of this “new and young neighbourhood.” You’ll find all your favourite Angus T products here, like those freshly baked croissants and coffees.

An exact address for both locations has yet to be announced.

Farmers market season is fast approaching in Vancouver, but fans of Casa de Nata’s delicious Portuguese tarts won’t have to worry about which farmers market the shop will be heading to next since it will soon be opening its first brick-and-mortar location in the city.

For those unfamiliar, this bakery serves custard tarts made from scratch using co-owner Stephanie Benskin’s grandmother’s recipe, which has various options like chocolate, strawberry and raspberry, and even vegan varieties.

“We are excited to open the next chapter of year five with Casa de Nata at our new location,” shared the bakery online.
