South Korean coffee chain to open its first North American location in Metro Vancouver

Plenty of big chains have had their eyes on Metro Vancouver over the years, with many already having plans to expand here, such as Din Tai Fung and Melting Pot. Now, a new chain is making its way to our neck of the woods.
Signs for the South Korean coffee chain theVenti have popped up in Richmond at 6011, Number 3 Rd., Richmond.
The chain first launched in Busan in 2014 and has since expanded to have nearly 1500 locations across South Korea. This location will mark its first international outpost.
On its website, theVenti wrote that it aims “to provide customers with good coffee at a reasonable price.”
The coffee chain offers multiple different roasts and uses a technique called water quenching on its beans, which sprays water during the cooling process after the beans have been roasted to protect the flavour.
On its menus in South Korea, it offers traditional your typical cafe items like Americanos, lattes, and cold brew. However, it also has more unique drinks like its Pandan Coconut Caffe Latte and Sweet Potato Einspanner. We’re still waiting to hear if it will offer similar products at its first Canadian store.
