Vancouver's getting a new bakery specializing in Portuguese custard tarts soon

Farmers market season is fast approaching in Vancouver, but fans of Casa de Nata’s delicious Portuguese tarts won’t have to worry about which farmers market the shop will be heading to next since it will soon be opening its first brick-and-mortar location in the city.
Located at the former space of Vegan Cave Cafe at 415 Abbott St., Casa de Nata will serve plenty of its tasty Portuguese tarts at this new location.

For those unfamiliar, this bakery serves custard tarts made from scratch using co-owner Stephanie Benskin’s grandmother’s recipe, which has various options like chocolate, strawberry and raspberry, and even vegan varieties.
“We are excited to open the next chapter of year five with Casa de Nata at our new location,” shared the bakery online.
