We’ve gone and collected a list of all the new Vancouver restaurants you should look into trying this month.

There is always a lot of chowing down for us to do in our city, and these new eateries make our to-eat lists longer than ever.

Here are 40 new Vancouver restaurants for you to try right now, or in the near future.

Crack On food truck has officially launched in Vancouver, and that means breakfast sandwich lovers have a new spot they need to hit up. The new destination-on-wheels focuses on brekkie sandos and the ingredient that makes them so delicious: eggs!


Cascadia Bakehouse

This bakery and cafe is open at 2335 Clarke Street, just a short walk away from Rocky Point Park and local train stations. Cascadia offers patrons made-from-scratch organic bread, toast, pastries, and pies made from local and seasonal ingredients.

This neighbourhood pasta joint has been serving patrons delicious Italian fare out of its original Yaletown location since 2011. Robba da Matti opened its second West End location in Summer 2019. Now, its Gastown location has officially opened.

The list of new concepts in Vancouver offering patrons eats and treats with French flare continues to grow, especially with the addition of the newly opened neighbourhood gem Marché Mon Pitou. The brand new cafe, bistro, and grocer opened its doors at 1387 W 7th Avenue, the former location of Slickity Jim’s Chat ‘n’ Chew.

New counter-service concept Thank You Pizza is officially open in Vancouver. The fresh Chinatown destination will be open Thursday to Sunday from 5 to 10 pm at 789 Gore Avenue, which operates as Hunnybee Bruncheonette by day.

Gram Cafe Kingsway

Gram Cafe Kingsway offers several varieties of “Cool Premium To-Go,” which is a pancake with filling in the middle. Patrons can choose from several flavours, including Matcha, Oreo, and Mango, to name a few. This store also offers drinks like caffeinated beverages and fruit teas.

This new Burnaby spot is located at 5792 Beresford Street, where it’s open daily from 11 am to pm. Studio Brewing is currently pouring a small but mighty menu of its beers alongside some collaborations with Dageraad Brewing and the Superflux Beer Company.

South Korean-founded NeNe Chicken is gearing up to open its first-ever North American location in Vancouver, the brand tells Dished Vancouver. The new outpost will open at 1070 Kingsway Street sometime in March, which means fans of Korean fried chicken should keep an eye out for an opening date to be announced.

The 131-year-old bakery cafe, originating from Northern France, will be opening up its first Canadian location in downtown Vancouver soon, according to the brand’s new Canadian social media accounts.

Maxine’s Cafe & Bar is the newest all-day dining destination slated to open in downtown Vancouver. Signage for the new concept has gone up at 1325 Burrard Street, the former location of the bike-centric cafe Mussette, which closed about a year ago.

Kitsilano, you’re in for a treat. New all-day dining concept “Juanita” is gearing up to open, and pretty soon at that. Located at 1516 Yew Street, the eatery has taken over the space formerly occupied by shuttered jazz destination the Blue Martini Cafe, directly across the street from Nook and Local.

Ça Marche isn’t the only concept that’s planning to bring some French flair to Vancouver House, as local favourite Linh Cafe is opening a new location at the development also. Linh Cafe’s team confirmed to Dished Vancouver that an outpost would be opening at 1428 Granville Street (exact unit to-be-revealed).

Breka Bakery & Cafe is set to be “coming soon” to Main Street, according to signage at the new location. The popular destination is known for offering up delicious baked goods and savoury eats 24 hours a day, seven days a week. Breka’s logo is plastered on the windows and door at 4554 Main Street, which is located just a few blocks from Sula’s newly opened restaurant.

Vancouver’s Hotel Le Soleil is getting a new concept this summer, a French bistro called Alouette. A representative from the new Hornby Street eatery told Dished Vancouver patrons can expect a French-meets-West Coast food program complete with comfort foods, French classics, oysters, and fresh salads and mains.

A new modern Asian restaurant called “Saola” is set to open in Vancouver. Slated to open at 2415 Main Street in early 2021, the folks behind this project include Do Chay’s Patrick Do, seasoned hospitality veteran Kevin Lin, and actor-producer and actor-writer Osric Chau and Nicholas Carey, respectively.

The eatery currently operates two outposts on W Broadway and in Vancouver’s West End, and the latter will be moving from 1773 Robson Street to a bigger location, just two blocks away at 1588 Robson Street.
