With all these sad restaurant goodbyes, it’s nice to say “hey” to some fresh concepts in Vancouver, and one of the city’s newest is now ready to welcome patrons through its doors.
Hello Nori has officially opened at 1165 Robson Street.

The new 1,500 sq ft Japanese hand roll bar features a sprawling U-shaped bar complete with plexiglass dividers for pandemic-friendly seating.
Diners who settle on a stool here can relax and soak in the interior, which features elements of wood, metal, and concrete, a space that was created by Vancouver-based Concrete Cashmere Designs.
Hello Nori describes this interior design as “a mix of wabi-sabi and Western modernism,” taking style notes and inspiration from Vancouver’s landscape and modern architecture.

Folks can also enjoy several varieties of warm and crispy hand rolls made right before their eyes at Hello Nori.
The menu here is straightforward (just the way we like it) and features 13 different varieties of hand rolls complete with some vegan, vegetarian, and gluten-free options.
Eats like Hokkaido Scallop, Toro, Yellowtail, Avocado, Tamago Yaki, and Truffle Lobster are featured in the rolls.
These creations are available à la carte or as part of set menus of four, five, and six rolls (priced individually or $18, $24, and $30 for sets, respectively).

This brand already has plans for more locations in BC.
The concept is looking forward to opening in West Vancouver at Park Royal and in Burnaby’s Brentwood neighbourhood as well. Construction of those eateries will begin this year.
We’ll keep you posted on those spots as they progress, but for now, we’d urge you to take a seat at the Robson Street location and enjoy some delicious hand rolls in its beautiful, bright room.
Find this spot open daily from 11 am to 10 pm.
