We’ve gone and collected a list of all the new Vancouver restaurants you should look into trying this month.

There is always a lot of chowing down for us to do in our city, and these new eateries make our to-eat lists longer than ever.

Here are 26 new Vancouver restaurants for you to try.

The Vancouver landmark as we knew it closed back in December. Earlier this year, it was announced that the Glowbal Group would be taking over operations from previous owners. Now open for lunch and dinner service, the restaurant has undergone an extensive renovation and been given a modern facelift.

Bonjour Vietnam Bistro

Bonjour is now open from Tuesday to Thursday from 5 to 9:30 pm, Friday and Saturday from 5 to 10:30 pm, and Sunday from 5 to 9:30 pm. Be sure to call ahead for reservations and try Fraser Street’s newest spot. There’s also the option for takeout if you’re not ready to head out on the town just yet.

Famous Japanese cheesecake chain Uncle Tetsu has softly opened its first Vancouver location. Uncle Tetsu Canada told Daily Hive you can find the 1151 Robson Street outpost open from 9 am to 9 pm on weekdays, and 10 am to 9 pm on Saturday and Sunday for now.

J Squared Ice Cream will be opening at 405 9100 Blundell Road in Richmond this summer. Owners told Daily Hive that the new spot “revolves around the love for tea.” This means patrons can expect flavours made with different kinds of locally sourced ingredients and teas.

Things are about to get spiced up in Olympic Village, because the neighbourhood’s new modern Mexican restaurant Ophelia is gearing up to open its doors. The new restaurant concept is brought to us by the folks behind WildTale and The Flying Pig eateries.

According to the Kits on Broadway BIAthe iconic global chain of eateries will be coming soon to a 5,759-sq-ft property at 3204 W Broadway, the former location of Swiss Chalet, which shuttered in 2017.

Pizzeria Grano took over much-loved local joint Don’t Argue after it closed this past August, and it’s gearing up to open this month at 3240 Main Street. This project comes to us from the folks behind one of Vancouver’s best pizza spots, Via Tevere, and is set to focus on plant-based Neapolitan pizza.

Finally, it’s almost time for the city’s highly anticipated spot for authentic Vietnamese eats, Lunch Lady, to open its doors. Lunch Lady will be opening at 1046 Commercial Drive in the former location of popular spot Five Elements Cafe, which closed last year.

Do Chay will be opening in Yaletown at 1269 Hamilton Street. This is the current address of Do Chay’s sister eatery House Special, which will be closing at the end of June. Folks will have a couple more weeks to get in on House Special’s comfort eats before it transforms into Do Chay’s second outpost.

It was confirmed to Daily Hive that Jollibee’s first BC location is slated to take over 833 Granville Street, the former location of ShuRaku Sake Bar & Bistro, which closed in September 2018.

WhataFood has become a staple at the Richmond Night Market during the spring and summer seasons, and now, it’s almost ready to welcome customers into its first brick and mortar location. The eatery will be opening at 255 800-Carnarvon Street inside the New Westminster Skytrain Station on June 27.
