Yaletown's "House Special" is closing at the end of June

Alright guys, we’ve got some news that will likely bum you out at first, but we promise, it’s not all negative for foodie fans of House Special.

Yaletown’s destination for modern Vietnamese food is closing later this month.

The 1269 Hamilton Street spot has been serving up delicious eats since it was first opened in 2016 by sister-brother duo Victoria and Patrick Do, but now, the family has different (and exciting) plans for this space.

The eatery will be closing as we know it at the end of June, after which it will undergo renovations and when it reopens, it will be the second location of much-loved plant-based Kingsway spot, Do Chay.

Do Chay is House Special’s sister restaurant, so this new establishment will have the same owners and the same good energy.

If you’re keen to enjoy House Special’s menu of comfort eats while you still can, you can order food daily from 4 to 8:30 pm through Uber Eats and DoorDash, or for pickup until it closes.
