New ice cream spot "J Squared" set to open in Richmond

Want to hear something sweet? Metro Vancouver is about to get a new destination for ice cream.

J Squared Ice Cream will be opening at 405 9100 Blundell Road in Richmond this summer, and we can’t wait.

Owners told Daily Hive that the new spot “revolves around the love for tea.” This means patrons can expect flavours made with different kinds of locally sourced ingredients and teas.

Some delicious varieties you can eventually dig into include Shanghai Fog (Jasmine Green Tea), Pistachio Matcha, Masala Chai, London Fog, and Thai Milk Tea.

J Squared will also offer rotating seasonal flavours that aren’t tea-based, including Japanese Black Sesame, Cereal Milk, White Coffee, and Elderflower with Lemon.

The shop plans on offering pints to-go as well, so folks can take them home and enjoy there.

J Square told Daily Hive they don’t have an exact opening date set just yet, but when they do, we’ll keep you posted.
