Something will always remain true for Vancouver, and that’s the fact that there will always be something new and exciting to eat on the horizon.

But with so many new restaurants announcing openings, it can be hard to keep track of everything coming to the city. That’s why we compiled a list of some of the most highly anticipated Vancouver restaurants to help you keep track.

From a beloved burger chain opening its first location on the West Coast to a viral sandwich spot, these are 21 of the most anticipated Vancouver restaurants opening soon.

Mandy’s Salads — Vancouver

A representative from Mandy’s shared with Dished that the viral salad shop will be opening in Kitsilano (2202 West 4th Ave., Vancouver) and Coal Harbour (1067 W. Cordova St., Vancouver).

The Kitsilano location, which is expected to open sometime this summer, will operate as a grab-and-go spot. It will also have a patio during the summer months.

As for Coal Harbour, this will be Mandy’s flagship location in Vancouver and will feature a larger, sit-down dining experience. An opening date for this location has yet to be announced.

Rosie’s Burgers

Not only will the Toronto-based smash burger chain, known for its beloved banana pudding, be opening its doors in Vancouver at UBC, but it will also be opening a location in Abbotsford.

“The time has come for us to head out WEST! Ocean, mountains, smashburgers & banana pudding… yeah, nothing better,” wrote Rosie’s on Instagram.

Ever since it opened, Archr in Langley Township has become synonymous with delicious baked goods and fun specialty drinks. Whether it’s the ever-changing line of seasonal drinks or takes on viral creations like the crookie (a combination of a croissant and cookie), Archr has been a standout cafe for many years now. Fast forward to today, and the team is preparing to expand with its second location in Metro Vancouver.

Archr shared with Dished that it will be opening a new Port Coquitlam location at 2961 Cambridge St., in the new Mercato Plaza.

While details for the new location are still under wraps, we anticipate finding the same selection of drool-worthy treats and drinks as its original location, which is found at 20161 86 Ave. (A150), in the Yorkson-Willoughby area.

Not many details are known about Ray’s yet, aside from the fact that it plans to change “as the day does,” whether you’re stopping by during the day, for dinner, or at night. It is opening at the former home of Yaletown Distillery Bar + Kitchen.

From pictures posted to its Instagram, customers can expect a selection of pasta, sushi, and cocktails.

“Ray’s is built by people who care. About the food, the room, and each other. We believe great hospitality comes from being happy to be here, helpful without being asked, and humble in how we show up every day,” wrote the restaurant on its website. “From Day to Dinner to Dark, our team works with pride, warmth, and intention.”

Chez Christophe shared that this new location, coming to 2215 Marine Dr. across from the West Vancouver Community Centre, will serve as the company’s primary chocolate production kitchen and feature a contemporary cafĂ© experience.

Here, guests will find Chez Christophe’s signature offerings, including its popular cube croissants, artisan chocolates, pastries, cakes, and beverages. Plus, this location will be the first to introduce a sandwich concept (with more details expected to be shared closer to the opening).

This new West Vancouver location has an opening scheduled for mid-May 2026. More details, including an official opening date and new menu items, are expected to be shared in the coming months.

Foodies in and around Vancouver may remember the hype when Marugame Udon — a.k.a. “Japan’s favourite handmade udon house” — first shared that it would be coming to Canada, with its first restaurant slated for Vancouver.

Opening day saw long lines, and many more lines in the days after, of hungry Vancouverites wanting to get their hands on the beloved (and affordable) bowls of udon that Marugame has become so well known for.

Now, the brand is poised to expand with three new locations across Canada — one of which is right here in Metro Vancouver.

Signs for the udon chain have popped up at CF Richmond Centre’s new outdoor retail development called “Park Plaza,” a brand-new high-density, mixed-use residential and commercial district currently taking shape on the property. An opening date has yet to be announced.

Leading the pack of newly announced chefs and restaurants is Chef Vikram Vij, who will be opening a new Indian concept called Peacock.

Vij is famous for his Vancouver-based restaurant, Vij’s, which has been serving hungry patrons (and plenty of celebrities) since 1994. Vij himself has received global recognition during his culinary career, highlighted by both the Michelin Guide and James Beard Awards, alongside appearances on Top Chef Canada, Chopped Canada, Dragons’ Den, and many more.

At Peacock, guests can expect dishes like Samosa Chaat salad with beets and candied walnuts, Jennifer’s Salt Fish Curry, and Vij’s family Chicken Korma with pickled chillies.

Via Tevere — Time Out Market

Via Tevere has also been announced to come to Time Out Market Vancouver. The pizzeria, founded by brothers Dom and Frank Morra, who are also behind other concepts, including Straight Outta Brooklyn Pizza, Don’t Argue Pizza, Cafe Soccavoa, il Saltimbocca food truck, and the sandwich chain Dante Italian Sandwich, which has been taking Vancouver by storm, At both of its current locations, Via Tevere holds the prestigious Vera Pizza Napoletana certification due to its use ot traditional methods and ingredients.

At this new outpost, Via Tevere will be serving its traditional Neapolitan pizzas from its Margherita to Vesuvio, and paninos, including its Prosciutto e Tartufo and Mortadella e Pistachio.

Chef Akira Kishimoto is bringing his over three decades of industry experience to Time Out Market Vancouver.

His restaurant, Kishimoto, has been a staple of Japanese cuisine in the city for over fourteen years and has received accolades like securing second place at the prestigious 2023 Canada’s Great Kitchen Party contest.

At its Time Out Market location, guests can expect dishes like Wagyu Broth Udon, Okonomiyaki, and Oshizushi, alongside a few vegetarian and vegan items as well.

Having only opened recently, Santo Taco has solidified itself as one of the top taquerias in the city.

This restaurant is inspired by the street food of Mexico, and its menu is built around high-quality proteins prepared with respect for traditions.

Expect plenty of tacos, burritos, and quesadillas when Time Out Market opens, with protein options such as Slow-braised Beef Birria, NY Striploin Asada, Citrus-marinated Pork Belly, and Classic Pork Al Pastor, alongside rotating chef’s specials. There will also be a selection of appetizers and shareable plates.

Another Vancouver favourite that currently operates three locations in the city, Heritage Asian Eatery will be bringing its Asian comfort food to Time Out Market.

Expect dishes with plenty of locally sourced ingredients, from Peking duck to Heritage’s version of Chinese BBQ. Specific dishes include Premium Char Siu Pork, Signature Roast Duck, Succulent Soy Chicken, and Charcoal Roasted Lamb Skewers.

The donut shop Mello, known for its delicious hand-crafted brioche donuts (as well as its viral part donut, park cookie creation called the Donukie that was available for a limited time), is coming to Time Out Market Vancouver.

And while you’ll be able to find the brand’s much-loved donuts at this new outpost, you can also find a selection of cakes and cookies like its Strawberry Short Cake and Cereal Cookie.

Boba Run — Time Out Market

The Korean-inspired bubble tea concept Boba Run will be bringing its popular drinks to the market as well.

The spot is best known for its offerings like Strawberry Matcha Latte and Korean Banana Milk, as well as other more unique flavour combinations like Honeycomb Dalgona Latte and Jolly Pong Cereal Shake.

You’ll be able to find these varieties here, including other drinks like a Brown Sugar Matcha Latte, Thai Iced Tea, and Peach Oolong Milk Tea.

Mee Bar — Time Out Market

Hot off the heels of Touk, one of the most anticipated restaurant openings of 2025, Chanthy Yen is gearing up to open a new concept at Vancouver’s Time Out Market called Mee Bar.

Here, he’ll be offering dishes such as Mee Kola (a take on a rice noodle bowl which will be topped with charcoal-grilled meat and seafood), Cambodian-style chicken wings (with lime and Kampot pepper), and Nom Banh Chok (a traditional Cambodian curry broth with rice noodles, fresh vegetables, and herb salad).

Mee Bar will open in Spring 2026 alongside the rest of Time Out Market, which includes new locations for DL Chicken and Lunch Lady.

MaKaam — Time Out Market

Baan Lao’s chef and owner, Nutcha Phanthoupheng (a.k.a. the Richmond restaurant that was named the best in Canada two years in a row), will also be opening a restaurant at Time Out Market called MaKaam in the spring.

This eatery will feature an artisan Thai menu with dishes like pad Thai that is reinvented with the addition of aged tamarind water buffalo milk gouda.

Feenie’s — Time Out Market

Also joining the lineup of new concepts coming to Time Out Market is Chef Robert Feenie’s (executive chef and partner of Vancouver restaurant Le Crocodile, Iron Chef America winner, and four-time Iron Chef Canada winner) restaurant, Feenie’s. Expect a selection of gourmet burgers that includes the signature Time Out Market Burger, which is served with house-ground wagyu and gruyerĂ©, and is a burger inspired by Le Crocodile’s Burger De Maison.

Barnacle — Time Out Market

The final new restaurant announced for Time Out Market is Bar Bravo’s Barnacle, which will showcase the acclaimed seafood from Head Chef Jonah Joffe. Expect an assortment of raw and cooked seafood, including dishes such as Local Oysters, Signature Jonah Crab Cocktail, and a Seafood Tower.

Dave’s Hot Chicken — Vancouver

A representative from Dave’s Hot Chicken confirmed to Dished that the new Vancouver outpost is expected to open at 901 Granville St. (the former home of the now-closed Cinema Public House) in Q1 of 2026.

This stretch of Granville has seen quite a few additions in the fast food scene, with Taco Bell recently opening its only Vancouver location alongside a new KFC outpost.

Dave’s Hot Chicken first opened in 2017, in an East Hollywood parking lot, but has since expanded to dozens of locations around the world. Its popularity was cemented when Canadian rapper Drake acquired a stake in the company in 2021.

The concept has several locations across Canada, including Ontario, Edmonton, and Calgary.

Lucky Lily Asian Brasserie

The dining scene at YVR Airport is about to get a little bit more exciting, as Top Chef Canada: All-Stars winner Chef Nicole Gomes is opening a new dine-in and grab-and-go concept.

“We’re feeling Lucky to have @chefngomes become a part of our culinary journey at YVR!” shared the airport on Instagram.

Called Lucky Lily Asian Brasserie, YVR Airport wrote that this will be a restaurant “where Asian street food meets contemporary dining.”

Oidé Coffee Lab and Roastery

Vancouver’s OidĂ© Coffee has become a much-loved spot for years due to its dedication to quality coffee and service. Now, after over three years of operation, the team is gearing up to open a new coffee lab and roastery.

“We signed a lease last month for OidĂ© Coffee Lab and Roastery,” shared the cafe on Instagram previously.

An exact location and opening date have yet to be announced, but Oidé did share that it hopes to start roasting sometime in the spring or summer of 2026.

Gigi’s

Glowbal Restaurant Group, the team behind much-loved Vancouver restaurants like Black + Blue, Five Sails, Coast, and many more, has revealed that it’ll be opening a new restaurant concept in the heart of Vancouver’s financial district.

Called Gigi’s, the new Vancouver restaurant will be serving up bold Mediterranean flavours alongside a sophisticated energy.

Not many details about the new restaurant have been revealed yet, but Glowbal did share that it will be an 8,000 sq. ft. restaurant that will seat 220 guests and offer a large patio.
