New Vancouver restaurant to open on buzzing Yaletown street

Folks looking to dine in and around Yaletown have long known that Mainland Street is a hub when it comes to good eats. From big chains like Earls, places for quick bites like Tacofino, hot new restaurants like Dovetail, Japanese-focused gems like Minami, and so much more, there’s plenty to eat along the street. Now, a new restaurant is looking to join the powerhouse street called Ray’s.
Not many details are known about the restaurant yet, aside from the fact that it plans to change “as the day does,” whether you’re stopping by during the day, for dinner, or at night. It is opening at the former home of Yaletown Distillery Bar + Kitchen.
From pictures posted to its Instagram, customers can expect a selection of pasta, sushi, and cocktails.

An exact opening date for the restaurant has yet to be shared, but it did advertise that it is hiring for a selection of roles during its hiring fair on March 4 and 6 from 11 a.m. to 6 p.m.
“Ray’s is built by people who care. About the food, the room, and each other. We believe great hospitality comes from being happy to be here, helpful without being asked, and humble in how we show up every day,” wrote the restaurant on its website. “From Day to Dinner to Dark, our team works with pride, warmth, and intention. Opening soon in the heart of Yaletown, Ray’s is a place to be part of something thoughtful, welcoming, and real.”
