So, we decided to round up eight of the most exciting celebrity sightings and shoutouts.
From Elijah Wood praising our local sushi scene (and shouting out one restaurant in particular) to local celebs like Seth Rogen and Finn Wolfhard stopping by their frequent haunts, these are some recent celebrities spotted dining in and around Vancouver.

The Vancouver-born-and-raised celebrity Seth Rogen definitely knows where to get some of the best food and drink in the city, but there’s one restaurant that it appears he loves the most: Little Bird Dim Sum.
Little Bird Dim Sum shared a photo of Rogen and staff during his most recent visit.
“A pretty special Sunday at Little Bird. Seth Rogen stopped by and graced us with his presence just before heading back home to L.A. Always an honour to have such great company in the room. Thanks for dropping in — safe travels and see you again soon,” wrote the restaurant.
Rogen loves the restaurant so much that he has been spotted there multiple times over the years.

Phil Rosenthal was recently in Vancouver as part of Just For Laughs Vancouver, but those familiar with Rosenthal will not be surprised to hear that he also spent some time enjoying the local food scene during his visit.
Posted to his Instagram as part of his video series Phil Me In, Rosenthal made stops at two much-loved Vancouver restaurants, the first being Landmark Hot Pot House, located at 4023 Cambie St., Vancouver.
Rosenthal shared that they had essentially ordered the whole menu, with the standouts being crispy chicken wings, black pepper crab, fried sticky rice with Chinese sausage, and the Peking duck.
As for the second restaurant, he made a stop at the Michelin-recognized Dynasty Seafood Restaurant located at 108-777 W. Broadway, Vancouver, which was also recently named the number one Chinese restaurant in Canada.
Here, Rosenthal and company enjoyed select bites like scallop dumplings (which he shared he had never had before and loved). The meal also included calamari, crab dumplings, and baked Portuguese-style rice, which was filled with coconut curry, seafood, and cheese.
“Just talking about it’s making my mouth water,” said Rosenthal. “Vancouver, you’re not just funny, you’re delicious, and I can’t wait to come back.”

While his visit to Vancouver may have been back in February, Elijah Wood made sure to give Vancouver some love in a recent interview with CN Traveler.
“British Columbia is so amazing. It’s always lovely to head up there. I mean, it is so stunningly beautiful. You’ve got islands and sort of fjords and mountains and forests and bald eagles, actually, kind of everywhere. It’s really, really beautiful with really great food,” said Wood.
He made sure to give a special shout-out to Vancouver’s sushi and the many award-winning restaurants.
“There are a number of Michelin-starred restaurants there. One of my favourite places that I just went to, and I hadn’t been in a long time, is Vij’s, the Indian restaurant,” said Wood.

In addition to being known to frequent some great restaurants in Vancouver, like JJANG Korean BBQ & Social House, Afuri Ramen, and Wak Wak Burger, Wolfhard was among some of the investors to rescue Vancouver’s art-deco Park Theatre from closing, alongside other filmmakers including Chris Ferguson (Backrooms, The Young People), Osgood Perkins (Longlegs, The Monkey), Mike Flanagan (Doctor Sleep, The Life of Chuck), Zach Lipovsky (Final Destination Bloodlines, Freaks), and Academy Award winners Sean Baker (Anora, The Florida Project) and Samantha Quan (Anora, Red Rocket), among many others.
