You can save money by ordering vegan at this Vancouver BBQ restaurant

A BBQ restaurant might not be the first choice of eatery for vegans living in Vancouver, but Slim’s BBQ is incentivizing the local plant-loving crowd to visit by offering a discount for those looking to substitute meat for the vegan alternative.
“At Slim’sĀ BBQ, it pays to be vegan. Literally,” a representative from the restaurant shared with Dished.
One of the menu items that qualifies for the discount includes Slim’s BBQ’s Frito Pie, which is a bag of Frito corn chips covered in hot queso, jalapeƱos, onions, Tajin, and normally pulled pork. However, folks looking to substitute BBQ jackfruit can save $3 off the item. Similarly, those looking to save money on the Pulled Pork sandwich can also save $3 by substituting the BBQ jackfruit.

Other saving opportunities include the Broke Bad Beef Burger, served with American cheese, Texas burger sauce, pickles, and shredded lettuce on a Martin’s potato roll. Normally, it’d be served with a patty of beef brisket and chuck ground, but folks have the opportunity to also save $3 off their order by subbing to the vegan patty.
Additionally, the White Trash Wedge Salad can also be made vegan for $1 off.
The promotion is available starting today.
