17 of the biggest restaurants opening in Vancouver for summer 2025

There’s always something new to eat in Vancouver, so much so that it can be hard to keep track of all the new restaurants opening in the city.
That’s why we’ve put together a list of some of the biggest restaurants that are planned to open in and around Vancouver this summer.
From matcha hot spots to new Italian concepts, these are some of the most exciting restaurants opening in Vancouver.
Kavita
This September, Mumbai-born chef Tushar Tondvalkar is opening his first restaurant, Kavita, in Mount Pleasant. Here, he will be bringing together the depth of regional Indian cuisine with B.C.âs seasonal ingredients.
Kavitaâs Ă la carte menu will draw inspiration from Indiaâs festival calendar, featuring dishes that reflect the countryâs unique cultural traditions and celebratory foods. As the seasons shift and festivals like Holi, Diwali, Onam, and Eid approach, the menu evolves to highlight regional ingredients and specialties.
Examples of some of these menu items include the Bun and Butter (Manglorean banana buns and toasted coconut chili butter), Chicken Kebab Stuffed Morels (with korma sauce and green peas), and Puran Poli (milk cake, feuilletine, ghee, and chili crisp).

Analog â Kingsway
Ronnie Olstad, president of Ninety Eight Food Co. (Analogâs parent company), confirmed that Analog is currently preparing to open a new cafe within the city at 776 Kingsway.
âThe architecture of the building is probably what stands out the most, the shape of it, and how they were creative in making it work for that block. A lot of more traditional people wouldnât have gone for that route,â said Olstad when speaking about the space.
Olstad said that he canât put an exact date for the opening of this new location, but he predicts either July or August of this year.
