New Metro Vancouver development to feature Nemesis and Ask For Luigi concepts

When Nemesis first opened its location at the Surrey Pavilion earlier this year, it drew massive lines for folks to try its coffee offerings and baked goods. Now, it’s gearing up to open in another part of Metro Vancouver alongside a brand new concept from the award-winning Kitchen Table Group, the team behind Ask For Luigi.
Located at 2968 Christmas Wy., the Tricity Pavilion will be home to Nemesis and Gigi’s by Ask for Luigi. The new building is brought to us by Marcon in partnership with QuadReal Property Group.
“TriCity Pavilion is a manifestation of the energy, culture, and quality that will define TriCity Central — a catalyst for what Coquitlam’s future as a regional city centre can look like,” said Nic Paolella, executive vice president of Marcon.
“It’s a living expression of the community we’re building – a place where people can already begin to experience what’s to come. To do this, we knew we had to collaborate with some of the brightest minds in the hospitality industry – Nemesis once again, and the Kitchen Table Group.”
The building will span 12,000 sq. ft. and is meant to act as a living preview of the future TriCity Central development.

When it comes to Nemesis, guests can anticipate an inviting space that will offer its signature coffee creations and baked goods courtesy of its in-house bakery, Dope Bakehouse. It will come in at 2300 sq. ft. and feature 50 seats, including a dedicated pastry kitchen.
“The Tri-Cities is one of Metro Vancouver’s fastest growing regions, and we look forward to working with Marcon once again to bring a new community hub to life with TriCity Pavilion,” said Jess Reno, founder and CEO of Nemesis.
“It’s incredible to think this forthcoming location will be our fifth. We’re excited to continue our pursuit of ‘coffee creating culture’ in the Tri-Cities.”

As for Gigi’s by Ask For Luigi, this is a new concept for the Ask for Luigi team. Led by Top Chef Canada winner and Culinary Director Chanthy Yen, alongside Head Chef Lloyd Taganahan, you’ll find all the same big flavours as its sister restaurant. Guests can anticipate a selection of fresh pasta, pizza, Italian, wine, and cocktails in a relaxed, welcoming space.
If it’s anything like its recently opened Cantina di Luigi, we’re in for a treat.
“With Gigi’s by Ask for Luigi, we’re bringing the same heart and hospitality that our Vancouver restaurants are known for to the Tri-Cities,” says Jennifer Rossi, co-founder of Kitchen Table Group. “In partnership with Marcon, we’ve created a space that’s warm, welcoming, and made for everyday dining. We can’t wait to open our doors later this spring.”
