The weather is getting warmer in Vancouver, which means many are looking for a cool treat to enjoy in the city. Lucky for them, a new ice cream shop has softly opened in the city, specializing in small-batch creations made with local ingredients.

Kobo Ice Cream is softly opening its doors on June 18 at noon, bringing its unique ice cream creations inspired by the owners’ parents, who both worked in the ice cream industry.

“We grew up in homes where the freezer was never empty, where the sound of churning ice cream was as familiar as the laughter around the dinner table. Ice cream wasn’t just a treat—it was part of our family culture,” shared the ice cream shop.

“Our parents ran ice cream businesses before us. From an early age, we learned how to craft flavours that weren’t just tasty—they were unforgettable. We saw the difference between what’s made for the masses and what’s made with love. Ice cream in our homes was rich with history, made with real ingredients and genuine care.”

Flavours include Toasted Almond and Fig, Honey Vanilla Bean, and a dairy-free Strawberry Basil Sorbet, to name a few.

While Kobo Ice Cream is currently softly opened, an exact grand opening date has yet to be announced.
