Vancouverâs newest casual eatery âSocialâ is slated to open on Commercial Drive October 1, and if youâre a sun-seeker listen up: It has a rooftop patio. Located at 1812 Commercial Drive, this new concept has taken over the former location of Falconettiâs East Side Grill near the corner of E 2nd and Commercial.

Sashimiya
Sashimiya is Vancouverâs new grab-and-go sushi and sashimi shop, and if you havenât visited the fresh Hornby Street gem yet, itâs time to make some eating plans, people. Located at 1348 Hornby Street (previously Sushi Hiyori) the charming new sushi spot and Japanese grocery store is owned and operated by Chef Taka Omi and his wife.

Tokyo Katsu-Sand (Food Truck)

Tokyo Katsu-Sand is the newest spot for Japanese-style katsu sandwiches in town, and its offerings are looking pretty drool-worthy. Folks can find this new food truck located at Granville and W Georgia Street (725 W Georgia Street) open daily from 11:30 am to 6 pm.

Capo and the Spritz
Located on the ground level of boutique hotel OPUS Vancouver, Capo and the Spritz has taken over the space formerly occupied by La Pentola and OPUS Bar. The business operates as one destination with two different rooms to choose from: Capo, or the Spritz.

South Granville just got an adorable new spot for tea, Momono Tea Shop. Located at 3010 Granville Street, this new destination for freshly brewed premium teas took over the former location of Bump N Grind coffee shop, which closed in 2019.

MILA
MILAâs food program was developed by Red Seal Chef, Jim Vesal, whoâs put together a selection of elevated yet approachable globally inspired dishes. Youâll see quite a lot of variety here. Morsels on the heartier side include the Mushroom and Sausage Tagliatelle, the Bulgogi Tacos, and the house veggie burger, a staple for any plant-based joint these days.
