"Social" slated to open on Commercial Drive on October 1

Vancouver’s newest casual eatery “Social” is slated to open on Commercial Drive tomorrow, and if you’re a sun-seeker listen up: It has a rooftop patio.

Located at 1812 Commercial Drive, this new concept has taken over the former location of Falconetti’s East Side Grill near the corner of E 2nd and Commercial.

The 3,000 sq ft restaurant can seat 90 people at limited capacity and 120 beyond the pandemic.

The Social team described the space as modern, trendy, and chic, complete with lots of booths perfect for casual drinks or meals with friends and family.

Food options range from vegan bowls to steak and pasta, and like every solid come-as-you-are eatery, it also offers a great happy hour.

Social’s happy hour is daily from 2 to 5 pm and from 9 pm until close. Expect discounted wine, beer, negronis, and food deals ranging from $5-$13.
