A new restaurant concept has popped up in Vancouver — Harbour550 is officially open and operating. The Coal Harbour eatery has taken over 550 Denman Street, the former location of short-lived French-Mediterranean spot Verre.

Bella Gelateria Metrotown
Award-winning gelato shop Bella Gelateria has officially opened its new Metro Vancouver location. The Coal Harbour-based shop has unveiled a new outpost on the second level of Metropolis at Metrotown in Burnaby.

ShuckShuck
The new 227 E Pender Street spot is certainly not your average oyster bar, offering more than just a weekly buck-a-shuck deal and trays of basic oysters with sliced lemons and heaps of horseradish on the side.

MuMu Kitchen
MuMu Kitchen is the latest spot in Vancouver to get some Korean Fried Chicken, so if you love yourself some KFC, listen up! Located at 1738 Davie Street, MuMu Kitchen quietly opened a few weeks ago in Vancouver’s West End in the former location of Ginger Garlic.

Haidilao Hot Pot — Vancouver
The hot pot restaurant hailing from China quietly opened its first Canadian location back in December 2018 in Richmond at 5890 No. 3 Road. This new outpost is the second one in BC.

Superflux Beer Company
Superflux Beer Company opened its Clark Drive brewery in mid-August, and now its tasting room, aka the Lounge, is opening as well. The new Vancouver brewery welcomed its first official guests into the Lounge on October 16.

A.Bento
The new 656 W Broadway eatery took over the space formerly occupied by Shaolin Noodle House. It offers a selection of bento boxes with drool-worthy offerings like Taiwanese sausage, crispy chicken nuggets, and Pork Ragu on rice too.

This new 52 Alexander Street took over the former space of BB Korean Cuisine Bistro. It offers patrons a bistro experience in the heart of Gastown.

Kevin & Kevin
Kevin & Kevin is open in Vancouver, and this concept is not your average juice bar and coffee shop, as you may have gauged from checking out photos of its interior. The new Chinatown business offers customers a range of both grab-and-go and dine-in options for breakfast, lunch, and dinner in a modern, high-end space.

The 572 Davie Street eatery officially grand opened on October 1. The new concept took over the former location of The Ramenman. It offers patrons Japanese fusion eats for brunch, lunch, and dinner.

The Vancouver Vietnamese spot, located at 2114 West 41st Avenue in Kerrisdale, is known for serving up piping-hot bowls of pho, banh mi, spring rolls, and vermicelli noodle bowls too. You can find its new location in Richmond at #105-4800 No 3 Road.

Arc Iberico Imports – Jamoneria & Sandwich Shop
Arc is offering patrons Acorn-fed Iberico Ham Cinco Jotas and a selection of the weekly sandwich menu. The menu will offer morsels such as Jamon Iberico, Serrano Ham, Chorizo Iberico, Salchichon Iberico, Lomo Iberico, Tuna, Cheese, and more.

Popeyes Chicken (Richmond, Surrey, Burnaby)
Popeyes Chicken is opening yet another two Metro Vancouver locations — this time, in Surrey and Burnaby. This news was confirmed to Dished Vancouver just over a week after we posted about a new Richmond location from the brand that is tentatively opening in mid-November.

Thierry – Mount Pleasant
Thierry Mount Pleasant is finally gearing up to open its doors, and we can taste the quality baked goods and chocolate already. The popular local bakery currently operates one location on Alberni Street downtown, and its second outpost is slated to open in November.

Victoria’s fast-casual Middle Eastern spot Superbaba is opening a brick-and-mortar location in Vancouver, and it’s almost time to taste this purveyor’s signature flavour-packed eats.

Hello Nori
This new Japanese hand roll eatery is officially opening its first location downtown on Robson Street, and Daily Hive chatted with the team to find out more about what we can expect from it. The space itself is 1,500 sq ft and is slated to feature seats for 24 as well as a U-shaped bar where patrons can enjoy 11 varieties of warm and crispy hand rolls made right before their eyes.

Chung Chun
While Robson Street already has a loaded hot dog joint for Vancouverites to enjoy, Chung Chun is aiming to be the top spot to get next-level ‘dogs in the area. This global Korean rice hot dog spot is opening its first Vancouver location on November 10, at 1795 Robson Street in the West End, the former location of a Pacific Poke outpost.

Sneaky Pete’s Pool Cafe
Sneaky Pete’s Pool Cafe is gearing up to open its doors in Vancouver. Located at 424 Mclean Drive, just a stone’s throw from Yolk’s and Timbertrain’s Depot, this new spot appears to be opening very soon.

Popular Japanese tonkatsu spot Saku is planning to change things up with one of its Vancouver locations, the team confirmed to Daily Hive. The eatery currently operates two outposts on W Broadway and in Vancouver’s West End, and the latter will be moving from 1773 Robson Street to a bigger location, just two blocks away at 1588 Robson Street.

Soon Coffee will be opening in The Amazing Brentwood’s food court as an island to-go bar with 360-degree coffee service. Tentatively slated to open in February 2021, the Soon Coffee team told Dished that the idea behind this concept was all about inclusivity and accessibility.

Jollibee Vancouver
It was confirmed to Daily Hive that Jollibee’s first BC location is slated to take over 833 Granville Street, the former location of ShuRaku Sake Bar & Bistro, which closed in September 2018. Quite possibly the most highly anticipated “opening soon” eatery on this list of new Vancouver restaurants, we’ll be sure to keep you posted on this one.
