Vancouver's oldest donut shop is opening a new Metro Vancouver location in a foodie hot spot

One of the hottest spots for foodies in Metro Vancouver has to be The Amazing Brentwood. With so many new and exciting concepts opening in the area, like the three-story Tap and Barrel, the recently opened seafood paradise Bow & Stern, or the new Korean BBQ spot with giant sushi rolls, it’s quickly become a foodie paradise.

Now, another big name is entering the area specializing in sweet treats: Lee’s Donuts.

We first reported on Lee’s Brentwood location back in February 2024. Now, a little over a year later, we have a soft opening date: Monday, April 14 at 10 a.m.

“They say good things come to those who wait, and y’all have waited long enough. Thanks for hanging in there while we got everything just right!” said Lee’s.

What’s even more exciting is that Lee’s confirmed the donuts at its Brentwood location will be baked and decorated on-site. There are few things better in life than a fresh jelly-filled donut.

For those unfamiliar with the brand, Lee’s Donuts is best known for its classic yeast and cake donuts, such as its honey dip, fritters, and raspberry jelly varieties. It’s been crafting these delicious handmade donuts since 1979 (that’s 46 years!), using the original recipes from founders Alan and Betty-Ann Lee.

Lee’s Donuts has been on a rampage, with new locations opening all across Metro Vancouver, like in Gastown, YVR Airport, Richmond’s Steveston Village, North Vancouver, or Coquitlam (where it’s currently hosting a pop-up).

The donut shop has even received approval from Hollywood celebrities like Vancouver’s Seth Rogen during numerous Netflix shows like Dinner Time Live with David Chang and Breakfast, Lunch & Dinner. Even Canadian comedian Ivan Decker shouted out the donut shop and said it was “incredible.”
