The biggest celebrity sightings in Vancouver restaurants this year

Put on your sunglasses, because if 2020 is anything like 2019, it’s going to be shining brightly from some epic Vancouver star sightings.

From A-list actors to famous singers, chefs, and comedians, Vancouver truly lived up to its nickname of Hollywood North this year.

Here were the biggest celebrity sightings in Vancouver restaurants this year.

Arian Grande

Pop princess Ariana Grande was spotted at a now-closed Yaletown Starbucks in Vancouver this year, where she chatted and took pictures with fans. The Starbucks barista that served her told Daily Hive she ordered a grande iced black coffee and a grande soy latte.

The mayor of Flavourtown is no stranger to the good eats in Vancouver. The television personality and host was in town this year filming his show, Diners, Drive-Ins, and Dives and was spotted in several restaurants including The Red Wagon and The Pie Hole.

These two got around in Vancouver this year. From shooting an episode for Chang’s newest Netflix Show, Breakfast, Lunch, and Dinnerto Rogen stopping into old-school Italian joint Pepino’s — this duo did some serious eating.

Actor-producer Keegan-Michael Key, along with John Cena and actor Skylar Astin, were potted at Elisa Steakhouse in Yaletown. In a photo posted on his Instagram, Astin captioned the snap of the gang calling them the “three amigos” and mentioned the group was at the restaurant to celebrate Key’s birthday.

Multi-platinum American rapper-singer Post Malone was seen outside and inside of Parq Vancouver around the date of his concert this year. The artist was spotted in front of Honey Salt, the popular local farm-to-table restaurant on the main level of the hotel and casino.

If there’s one restaurant in Vancouver where you’re bound to see celebrities, it’s Joe Fortes. The Thurlow Street eatery has seen big stars over the past few months including several band members from Fleetwood Mac and Netflix star Lana Condor from smash-hit To All The Boys I’ve Loved Before. Professional wrestler and actor John Cena spent time at Joes as well as Elisa Steakhouse while in town.

Justin Trudeau was spotted at one of Vancouver’s original and most celebrated gay pubs during the summer. The Prime Minister stopped into The Fountainhead Pub, located at 1025 Davie Street, to kick off Vancouver Pride.

One of the Riverdale’s biggest break-out stars, Camila Mendes, posted a video of her and co-star Cole Sprouse in a local Vancouver pizza parlour. The video shows the pair at Ignite Pizzeria’s Mount Pleasant location goofing around, doing model poses for the camera.
