Infamous downtown Vancouver Chinese restaurant Tsui Hang Village has closed

It’s officially the end of an era for late-night food lovers.

Infamous old-school Chinese restaurant Tsui Hang Village, commonly known as Tsui Hang’s, has permanently shut its doors.

The downtown restaurant was a fixture on the Granville Strip. Known for its cheap and cheerful Chinese grub, “cold tea,” and super late hours, this spot was one of a handful of joints still operating late enough to sit down and unwind after a night out.

Tsui Hang’s exterior signage has been completely removed, and the interior appears to have been gutted as well.

Daily Hive

Daily Hive reached out to Tsui Hang Village back in November when a “For Lease” notice went up on the Davie Street side of the building, but staff told us the owner intended to continue to operate for the foreseeable future.

We reached out for more information about this closure but did not hear back in time for publishing.
