Vancouver’s new summer drink festival to launch with 50 vendors — here are the must-try treats

In case you missed the news, the team behind the Greater Vancouver Hot Chocolate Festival are gearing up to launch a summer version featuring iced chocolate creations, among many other fun sips called Koolfest.
The event takes place from July 19 to Aug. 10 and will feature over 50 vendors serving a variety of items, including iced chocolate drinks, chocolate milkshakes, and other icy beverages such as floats, sodas, affogato-style dishes, horchata, fruit slushies, iced teas, bubble teas, and more.
If that hasn’t already piqued your interest, we also have the official list of 50 participating vendors, along with everything they’ll be offering.
Looking at the list, there are quite a few offerings that have got us excited.
Specifically, Bak’d Cookies will be offering a Biscoff Banana Pudding Iced Matcha, which takes its signature iced matcha latte and tops it with banana pudding, Biscoff crumble, and a candy banana on top. It will also be serving a coffee version of the drink, using its Iced Salted Caramel Latte as the base, called the Biscoff Banana Pudding Iced Latte.

As for Vancouver-proper shops that are participating include Boba Run who will be serving the Watermelon Dreamsicle (watermelon juice, a splash of creamy coconut milk, and topped with chewy coconut jelly, served with a mini watermelon ice lolly) and the Lemon Heaven (fresh-squeezed lemon juice and a hint of cream topped with chewy lemon jelly and a mini lemon ice lolly).

Other highlights include Beaucoup Bakery and its mango-themed line of drinks including the Let’s Mango (rich mango milk and mango purée blended with Valrhona Ivory 35 per cent white chocolate paired with a mango jam cookie) and the Mango Matcha Made in Heaven (a bingsu-inspired drink featuring matcha-infused coconut milk, mango purée, and mango milk blended with Valrhona Ivory 35 per cent white chocolate paired with a crunch-chewy mango cookie on the side).
In a similar vein of the fruit-forward drinks, Little Pisces will be serving a Lychee Guava Float (lychee mojito topped with guava sorbet as a float) exclusive to its Lougheed location, alongside a Matcha/Hojicha Banana Milk Float (matcha/hojicha latte topped with a banana milk soft serve) exclusive to its Richmond spot, and a Hojicha Horchata Milk (sweet horchata milk with a hojicha shot), which you can get at both locations.
