There is a lot of chowing down for us to do in Vancouver, and these new eateries make our to-eat lists longer than ever.

Just opened, opening soon, or newly re-opened, here are all the new Vancouver restaurants to try this month.

The Richmond location is just one new opening for the brand, which is known for its signature Yuzu Shio ramen and Buta Gyoza (pork), as AFURI has plans to open a Vancouver location (address to be determined) as well as outposts in California, Hong Kong, and Singapore.

House Special has been serving up modern Vietnamese eats since it first opened in 2016 by sister-brother duo Victoria and Patrick Do, and now the Yaletown restaurant has changed things up a bit.  The 1269 Hamilton Street spot has quietly opened after a short renovation, which saw the 1,200-sq-ft space get some interior updates and a new menu.

The new American BBQ and Italian joint is opening in the former space of Vancouver’s short-lived haunted bar, The Dark Manor Inn. In terms of decor, patrons can expect “influences of art deco and the mid-century” in the 60-seat restaurant. Say Mercy! will be open starting January 18 from Monday to Sunday from 5 to 10 pm.
