The restaurant industry in Vancouver can be fickle, and ā once again ā the cityās dining sceneĀ has suffered some casualties.
Here isĀ yourĀ update on restaurants in and around VancouverĀ that have recently shuttered or will do so imminently.

Closed
Harbour 550

A new restaurant concept thatĀ popped up in Vancouver last monthĀ has already called it quits. Harbour550 announced via Instagram story over the weekend that it had shuttered. In the note to its social media followers on Saturday, the restaurant said it was sorry to inform patrons that it would be shutting its doors due to lease termination.
Starbucks Howe Street
Another downtown Vancouver Starbucks cafe has closed its doors. The coffee chainās 1095 Howe Street corner location has officially shuttered. Itās notĀ tooĀ surprising to see more of this companyās locations calling it quits, asĀ Starbucks announced it would be closing up to 200 locations across CanadaĀ over the course of two years this past Spring.
M8 Bistro
Waterfront neighbourhood spotĀ M8 Bistro & BarĀ has quietly closed its doors in Vancouver. The 60-seat, 1010 Beach Avenue restaurant was tucked right next toĀ Beach Ave Bar and Grill, whichĀ took over the former space of TAPshack near Burrard Bridge this past spring.

Bad news forĀ cheap and cheerful breakfastĀ lovers, an IHOP in Metro Vancouver has recently closed its doors. The famous American pancake houseās outpost located at 5137 Kingsway in Burnaby served up its last stack of flapjacks at the end of October.
Frenchies Diner

Burgoo Kitsilano is closing its doors next month, the family of restaurantsĀ confirmed to Dished Vancouver. The local comfort food mini-chain stated that the 2272 W 4th Avenue restaurantās last day of operation would be on December 13.
