Longtime IHOP location in Metro Vancouver closes its doors

Bad news for cheap and cheerful breakfast lovers, an IHOP in Metro Vancouver has just closed its doors.

The famous American pancake house’s outpost located at 5137 Kingsway in Burnaby served up its last stack of flapjacks on Sunday, the company confirmed to Daily Hive.

IHOP told Daily Hive its other Burnaby location at Lougheed Shopping Centre (9855 Austin Avenue #173) is still very much open for business. So you can rest easy knowing a short stack is not too far from your fork-wielding grasp.

While this news certainly isn’t sweet, the brand new treat at IKEA is. If you’re around the Swedish ready-to-assemble furniture store’s bistro anytime soon, be sure to check it out.
