Cantina Pana

Cantina Pana opened its doors in Kits Point at 1941 Cornwall Avenue, the former spot of short-lived vegetarian restaurant Pitchfork. Patrons can expect tacos, burritos, tots, and Cantina Pana’s signature street corn at the new Kitsilano eatery, which was formerly operating at 3625 W 29th Avenue until the end of September.

Bake49
Everything from this new Japanese bakery is made in-house, including the Double Fromage Cheesecake, which takes two whole days to make and achieve that layered melt-in-your-mouth goodness. The bakery is now open, be sure to get in line and try their treats yourself.

Vancouver’s first ever zero-waste grocery store, Nada opened its doors in late June, and the response to the environmentally-friendly business has been incredible. So much so, that Nada’s owners expanded their offerings by opening an in-house cafe, which of course, will also be zero-waste.

Soap has been operating since early October, patrons can find it open regularly from Wednesday to Saturday from 6 pm to midnight. The new 2,200-sq-ft, 60-65 seat location will be replacing the soon-to-be-shuttered Bistro Pastis at 2153 West 4th Avenue. Patrons can expect the same charming vintage interior, relaxed vibe, outrageously drool-worthy eats, and hours (daily from 8 am to 3 pm) from the third location of the epic brunch spot from co-owners Jim and Candy Walmsley and Mike Deas-Dawlish.
