UPDATED: Sweet Jesus has FINALLY opened its first BC location in Metro Vancouver
Editorial note: Despite confirmation from Metrotown staff that Sweet Jesus’ first day of operation would be Friday, October 12 (the grand opening), but the ice cream shop opened its doors on Wednesday, October 10 for two days of soft opening.
Sweet Jesus has been giving us serious Uncle Tetsu vibes with this uber-long wait for the first BC location of the popular chain to open, but the wait is almost over.
The Toronto-based soft serve ice cream and treat purveyor is about to open in Metropolis at Metrotown in Burnaby, and we’ve finally confirmed the opening date.

The chain currently operates 17 ice cream shops in Ontario, two locations in Alberta, and one US location in Baltimore, Maryland.
Metropolis at Metrotown
Sweet Jesus Metrotown will be open Monday to Saturday from 10 am to 9 pm and Sunday from 11 am to 7 pm. Find it on the ground level of the mall just passed the Superstore entrance.
It’s safe to say this brand is out for total ice cream domination – so be sure to get in line for these buzz-worthy eats come opening day.
