After a successful ‘pop-up’ the Birds and the Beets team who put together this new Chinatown brunch destination has opened the Gore Avenue eatery up as a full-time spot. Find it open from 8 am to 5 pm daily.

La Taqueria – Yukon
The new 2,000-sq-ft location will feature two patios, a new cocktail program, live music, and a “different ambience” than the other locations. One that promotes a sit-and-stay vibe rather than a grab-and-go.

It’s been a long wait, but highly-anticipated Vancouver ice cream spot Elephant Garden Creamery is open. The new sweet spot is located at 2080 Commercial Drive, just steps away from Sushi Ville, the Tangent Cafe, and a Prado Cafe location.

Little Juke
Located at 1074 Davie Street, Juke Fried Chicken’s second location will be fully licensed (in about a week-or-so) and offers the eatery’s signature selection of drool-worthy southern-inspired eats like ribs, slaw, chicken, and veggie dishes. And while the counter service-only Little Juke is smaller in size compared to the OG Chinatown location (it has 22 seats), the selection of eats are actually bigger at the new West End spot.

A new spot for brunch, pizza, and more is about open in Deep Cove, and it’s called Scratch Kitchen. Opening September 21, at 437 N Dollarton Highway (formerly Village Table), the soon-to-be-open North Vancouver restaurant is 1,200-sq-ft and has 40 seats along with a garage door at the front of the space for those mild and sunny days.

This new pop-up will go down every Monday at Downlow Chicken on Commercial Drive. There will be over six different kinds of burgers up for order, ranging in price anywhere from $10 to $13, along with add-ons like fries and cold smoked onion rings – aka the best onion rings you’ve had in your life.

Tasty Indian Bistro – Yaletown
Don’t be fooled by the construction zone-looking exterior look of Tasty Indian Bistro in Yaletown, the new location in Downtown Vancouver will be open sooner than you think. An institution when it comes to Indian cuisine in Metro Vancouver, the Delta restaurant first announced it was expanding with this second location last spring.
