A new spot for brunch, pizza, and more is about open in Deep Cove, and it’s called Scratch Kitchen.

Opening September 21, at 437 N Dollarton Highway (formerly Village Table), the soon-to-be-open North Vancouver restaurant is 1,200-sq-ft and has 40 seats along with a garage door at the front of the space for those mild and sunny days.

The menu at Scratch will include handcrafted pizzas on a specially fermented dough, local organic beef and veggie burgers on house-made brioche buns, charcuterie, hearty salads, and power bowls to name a few.

This new spot will also offer a weekend brunch with freshly baked sourdough bread, six different kinds of toasts, and sourdough pancakes.

Founded by two former Cactus Group employees, the idea for Scratch Kitchen came to the duo after a hiking excursion down the Baden Powell Trail left them with a “serious need for a picturesque perch to have a beer and a bite after a typical Vancouver Sunday visit to Quarry Rock.”

With aims to “reawaken a sleepy corner of the city,” we’re excited to see Scratch open its doors.

You can head here Monday to Friday from 11 am to 10 pm and Saturday to Sunday from 10 am to 10 pm once it’s officially up and running.

Scratch Kitchen’s brunch officially kicks off October 20.
