Honda Celebration of Light fireworks 2025

What: Look up to the sky over English Bay in Vancouver, and enjoy three different types of shows for each of the three nights of the 2025 Honda Celebration of Light.

This year’s all-Canadian lineup includes Yukon on Saturday, July 19, staged by Midnight Sun Fireworks; Quebec on Wednesday, July 23, staged by Royal Pyrotechnie, and Nova Scotia on Saturday, July 26, staged by Fireworks FX.

This year’s festival will include not only a nightly fireworks show and a supplemental nightly drone show, but also a pre-fireworks Snowbirds Air Show on July 19 and 23.

Carnaval del Sol Vancouver

What: Carnaval del Sol 2025 is Vancouver’s biggest celebration of Latin American culture, music, dance, and food.

Boundary Bay Airshow

What: Boundary Bay Airshow, presented by the City of Delta and Alpha Aviation, will feature a variety of world-class aviation attractions, including aerobatic teams, Canadian Forces Snowbirds, and more.

Boundary Bay Airshow was first held over 15 years ago and regularly draws massive crowds of over 15,000 to the waterside airport.

Summer in THE COURTYARD at Willowbrook 

What: Willowbrook Shopping Centre’s Summer in THE COURTYARD offers free weekly events in its outdoor courtyard from June to August. Enjoy Monday Fundays with bubbles, games, and activities, outdoor yoga sessions on Wednesdays led by Evolution Studios, and family-friendly movie nights every Friday. It’s a great way to spend time outdoors, connect with the community, and enjoy summer fun close to home.

What: One of Western Canada’s largest music festivals, FVDED in the Park returns this summer with a stacked lineup.

South Granville Summer

What: The South Granville BIA is hosting a number of summer events in the neighbourhood, from morning yoga to sunset concerts, and shopping events with wine. There’s plenty happening in South Granville this month!

Evo Summer Cinema Series at Stanley Park

What: Hundreds of people will gather in Stanley Park every Tuesday from July 8 to Aug. 26 for Canada’s largest outdoor movie series. You can watch a curated lineup of Hollywood hits and family favourites on the giant 40-foot inflatable movie screen.

Tour De Concord Vancouver – Free Family Bike Festival

What: Concord Pacific’s Free Family Bike Festival and Tour de Concord Cycling Race return on Sunday, July 13. The event will feature thrilling races, children’s activities, food trucks, a beer garden, and more.

Attendees of the expanded Free Family Bike Festival can check out bike vendors and displays, enjoy free popcorn for kids, visit the beer garden for adults, and bring their own ride in for complimentary bike safety checks and tune-ups.

The festival also features enhanced safety, live showcases by Zero Gravity Trials, a family kids zone, food trucks, live music and DJ, and over $10,000 in draw prizes.

Khatsahlano Street Party 2025

What: One of the city’s largest free music and arts festivals, Khatsahlano will take place on Saturday, July 5, between Burrard Street and Macdonald Street.

There’s sure to be something for all musical tastes, with over 60 artists to discover throughout the #CampKhats themed summer party. You’ll want to check out the MacDonald Stage, presented by Daily Hive and Third.Space, which will showcase powerhouse performer Missy D, folk alt-rockers Shred Kelly, rising indie-pop group Cherry Pick, and more.

Playland 2025

What: There are over 30 rides and attractions to enjoy at Vancouver’s favourite amusement park, ranging from family-fun rides to extreme, heart-racing attractions.

Prepare yourself for the sky-high Atmosfear, the timeless Wooden Roller Coaster, and of course, The Beast — the massive pendulum that stands 12 storeys tall and swings at speeds of 90 km/h.

You’ll be working up an appetite with all there is to see and do at Playland this year, so it’s a good thing the park is serving up fan favourites like hot dogs, mini donuts, and more!

The Weeknd

What: Canadian superstar The Weeknd has announced a stop in Vancouver with his new stadium tour, and he’s snagged a huge venue.

Fridays on Front

What: Fridays on Front, the popular free block party series, is firing back up starting on Friday, July 11, on Front Street Mews in Downtown New West.

One of the region’s best street parties, Fridays on Front highlights artisan vendors, musical performances, and, of course, a lot of great food. And it’s a quick walk from both the New Westminster and Columbia Skytrain Stations.

Summer Movie Nights on the Square

What: Every Thursday evening from July 3 to Aug. 14, Downtown Van will inflate a large 33-foot screen in šxʷƛ̓ənəq Xwtl’e7énḵ Square at the north plaza of the Vancouver Art Gallery for the family-friendly Summer Movie Nights.

This summertime tradition will see a massive crowd of moviegoers watch their favourite flicks under the stars. Activities start at 5 p.m., so there will be plenty of fun before the screening starts.

Vancouver Chinatown Festival 2025

What: The 23rd Vancouver Chinatown Festival will be held on Saturday, July 12, and Sunday, July 13. It will feature a variety of activities and live entertainment highlighting the historical neighbourhood.

This year’s celebration features an artisan market, a Kids Zone, international food trucks, and more.

Big Splash Water Park

What: Big Splash Water Slide Park in Tsawwassen is reopening for the summer season on Saturday, June 28. The seven-acre resort-style park features 13 body and tube slides, a kids’ zone, hot tubs, and more to help you beat the heat.

Big Splash’s highlight is the Boomerango, an exhilarating tube slide with a six-story drop. According to the park, it’s the only one of its kind in Western Canada.

The Cup 2025

What: Get your chicest hats and flashiest bowties out! The city’s most fashionable festival is back this summer, bringing with it some tasty eats and musical performances.

Canada Day Celebrations

Canada Day Streetfest on Central in Burnaby

What: Canada Day in Burnaby will be filled with fun events and activities to commemorate the occasion, including Edmonds Plaza and Park and Burnaby Village Museum throughout the day.

To cap off the festivities, there will also be fireworks in Central Park. StreetFest on Central will offer a family zone at Civic Square, all-ages activities along Central Boulevard, food vendors, a beer garden, and free live performances in Central Park.

Surrey Canada Day 2025

What: The City of Surrey’s annual Canada Day celebration will take place at the Bill Reid Millennium Amphitheatre in Cloverdale on Tuesday, July 1. The free, all-ages event features a huge concert lineup, food trucks, and a spectacular fireworks show.

The lineup of entertainment includes headliners The Reklaws, a Canadian sibling duo that has been nominated for eight Juno Awards, won nine CCMA Awards, four #1s at Canadian Radio, and boasts over 300 million Global Streams.

Canada Together at Canada Place

What: The Vancouver Fraser Port Authority’s Canada Together at Canada Place is a massive event happening at the outdoor spaces of the landmark and venue, Jack Poole Plaza, and surrounding city streets. As well as offering a huge lineup of activities and entertainment, the 39th annual event features a new Indigenous marketplace.

Canada Day in Port Coquitlam

What: Port Coquitlam’s Canada Day event takes place at Castle Park, and it features live performances by Canadian icons Trooper and country music star Aaron Pritchett. The event also includes family-friendly activities, food trucks, market vendors, and a fireworks display.

False Creek Ferries Ballet

What: False Creek Ferries has announced that its popular Ferry Ballet is happening on Monday, July 1, along the waterfront from Olympic Village to Granville Island.

Passers-by on the Seawall, as well as local residents, will be treated to a delightful display of synchronized maneuvers to start their Canada Day.

Steveston Salmon Festival

What: The Steveston Salmon Festival is happening on July 1 in Richmond, with free cultural performances, family-friendly activities, and of course, delicious food to enjoy.

About 80,000 people attend the event each year to party with Sammy the Salmon, with this summer also marking the return of the popular Canada Day parade.

Port Moody Ribfest 2025

What: The Port Moody Ribfest 2025 is a three-day celebration of all things ribs, and it’s happening from July 18 to 20. Be prepared for plenty of food vendors, live music, and family-friendly activities.

This year, seven different rib vendors will be serving up their best pork ribs. And while ribs may be the highlight of the event, there will also be other food vendors serving up a variety of meat and vegetarian options. Think tacos, corn on the cob, ice cream, and more.

Deckchair Cinema at The Polygon Gallery

What: The Polygon Gallery has announced the return of Deckchair Cinema starting on Thursday, July 3, on Lower Lonsdale’s waterfront deck.

Symphony at Sunset 2025

Farmers Markets in Metro Vancouver

Trout Lake Farmers Market

This farmers market began back in 1995 and became the cornerstone of the Vancouver Farmers Market collective of markets. One of the most popular markets, Trout Lake has food trucks on-site and a variety of vendors selling fresh local produce, locally made goods, and all things food.

Kitsilano Farmers Market

Steveston Farmers and Artisans Market
