Massive Canada Day celebration returns to Metro Vancouver with fireworks

One of the country’s largest Canada Day celebrations is returning to Metro Vancouver this summer, and it promises to be a day full of great live entertainment.
The City of Surrey’s annual Canada Day celebration will take place at the Bill Reid Millennium Amphitheatre in Cloverdale on Tuesday, July 1.
The free, all-ages event features a huge concert lineup, food trucks, and a spectacular fireworks show.
Participants will also have the opportunity to learn about the land they live on and the true history of Canada.

“I am thrilled to invite everyone to join us in Cloverdale for what is sure to be the biggest and best Surrey Canada Day yet,” said Mayor Brenda Locke in a release. “In a time when unity and patriotism are more important than ever, Surrey Canada Day is an opportunity for our community to come together, celebrate our country, and honour the spirit of our nation.
“I’m especially excited to see Canadian sibling duo, The Reklaws, headlining our event this year. I look forward to celebrating with you all at Western Canada’s largest Canada Day celebration.”
