Vancouver's stylish day at the races returns with cocktails and international headliner

Get your chicest hats and flashiest bowties out! The city’s most fashionable festival is back this summer, bringing with it some tasty eats and musical performances.

The Cup is taking over Hastings Racecourse on Saturday, July 19, for its 15th anniversary.

The day-long event is serving up live entertainment, a new VIP experience, cocktails, a mixologists showdown, and more.

New this year is the Trackside VIP experience, where guests can upgrade to an exclusive, all-inclusive spot on the concourse.

VIP guests will enjoy a dedicated entry lane, premium trackside seating with great views of the finish line, and access to the private chalet presented by The Vancouver Club and Published on Main’s Chef Gus Stieffenhofer-Brandson.

The VIP Chalet will treat guests to stadium-inspired snacks, four drink tickets that can be used for beer, wine, or crafted cocktails at the private bar, and unlimited complimentary water and non-alcoholic beverages.

This year’s Cocktail Jockey returns with a ’70s-inspired pop-up speakeasy, bringing together top mixologists, immersive decor, and classic vinyl DJ sets. There will also be food options for every palate available on site.

And when it comes to musical guests, The Cup has a stellar music lineup as well.

British hitmaker Jonas Blue headlines with a live DJ set to keep the summer vibes going at the track. The three-time Brit Award nominee has topped charts around the world with hits like “Fast Car,” his signature cover of Tracy Chapman’s iconic song.

Also on the bill are Edmonton party band The BrassTactics and Vancouver powerhouse DJ duo Common People.
