All the Vancouver restaurants dropped from the 2026 Michelin Guide

The Michelin Guide has just announced its 2026 Vancouver restaurant selections, and whileĀ many folks have reason to celebrate (especially the AnnaLena team, who were promoted to two stars), not all the restaurants from last year’s guide made the cut.
Most notably, Vancouver actually has fewer Michelin-starred restaurants than last year. Barbara, located in the downtown Eastside, has been stripped of its star and is now a Michelin recommended restaurant.
Barbara is a tasting menu restaurant led by chef Patrick Hennessy, who has experience working at many top restaurants like Eleven Madison Park in New York.
But that’s not the only shakeup, as a number of spots have been removed from the guide entirely. This includes Bar Gobo, Bonjour Vientmas Bistro, Cafe Medina, Dynasty Seafood, New Manadrin Seafood Restaurant, and The Lobby Lounge and Raw Bar.
Fable KitchenĀ andĀ BacaroĀ are also absent from the guide due to the restaurants closing their doors, in addition toĀ Wildlight Kitchen and Bar, which officially closes on Nov. 28.
