First-of-its-kind Vancouver restaurant is soon to close for good
The list of Vancouver restaurant closures will continue to grow this fall with the recent announcement that the acclaimed Wildlight Kitchen + Bar is soon closing in West Point Grey.
Wildlight, which is located at 107-5380 University Blvd., posted the sad news on social media, stating that ownership made the “incredibly difficult decision” to close the restaurant on Saturday, Nov. 28.
The restaurant was the Pattison Food Group’s first restaurant venture.
The group currently includes stores such as Save-On-Foods, Buy-Low Foods, Quality Foods, and Everything Wine, to name a few.

“For everyone who has supported us and been part of our journey, we are incredibly grateful,” said Wildlight in its announcement.
“Most importantly, we want to recognize our amazing team. Their dedication, passion, hard work, and commitment to serving our guests have been at the heart of Wildlight since we opened our doors.”
The Vancouver restaurant has been showcasing West Coast culture and cuisine since its opening in February 2023.

Guests are able to enjoy a curated menu ranging from a pescatarian charcuterie board to a Wagyu burger to seared Hokkaido scallops with truffle risotto.
In addition to an all-day menu, the three-time Michelin-recommended restaurant offers a daily happy hour and events like a Thursday Cocktail Club.

Wildlight also shared a message with its community inviting everyone to help the restaurant in “going out with a bang.”
“We have the next couple of months ahead of us, and we intend to spend them properly: one final menu, celebrating everyone who built this place into what it became,” the restaurant posted.
“To everyone who sat at our tables: thank you. The next couple of months are for you too. Come say hello, come celebrate with us, come back one more time. More details soon on the final menu; reservations are open.”
