17 Calgary restaurants named among the top spots in Canada for 2026
Calgary’s restaurant scene is well up there as one of the best in Canada, with spots all over the city getting their well-deserved flowers.
Heading into the holiday season, OpenTable has just revealed its list of the top 100 restaurants in Canada for 2026, and this year, 17 Calgary spots made the cut.
The list is compiled using over 1.1 million reviews from verified OpenTable diners and metrics, evaluating data such as diner reviews, the percentage of five-star reviews, the number of alerts set, the percentage of reservations made in advance, and the percentage of capacity and direct searches.
As we head into a new year, OpenTable is anticipating an even bigger year for restaurants, with 65 per cent of Canadians expecting to visit restaurants as often or more in 2027 compared to 2026.
“Canadians are planning to be more intentional when dining out next year, making room for restaurant meals for smaller celebrations or regular visits to their neighbourhood favourite,” said Eric Kemppi, director of restaurant sales and service at OpenTable Canada.
