Downtown Vancouver cafe that's been around for a decade closes its doors

The Vancouver restaurant industry has been struggling recently, and we’ve just received word that Take Five has closed a prominent location on Granville Street.
“Since opening our doors in 2015, this cafe has been more than just a business; it has been a community. We owe our journey to the incredible support, kindness, and loyalty of all of you. Thank you for being a part of our story,” shared Take Five on a posted notice to its Granville location.

The cafe went on to say the reasoning for the closure was due to the expiration of its lease and franchise agreement, as well as the increasingly challenging economic environment.
However, Take Five did hint that something is in the works for the future.
“This goodbye does not mark the end of our story, but rather the closing of a chapter. As for what comes next? All we can say for now is, we believe that something wonderful is on the horizon,” concluded Take Five Cafe.
