A 30-year-old Jewish deli in Vancouver is closing its doors this weekend

This year has seen a lot of longstanding restaurants close their doors or announce impending closures. Just take a look at Sea House Fish and Chips, Ba Le Deli’s 37-year-old Kingsway location, and The Boathouse Restaurant, which plans to close its White Rock and Kitsilano locations by the end of the summer. Now, we unfortunately received word that Solly’s Bagelry will be closing its Kitsilano location after 30 years.
“Due to the rising costs of rent and taxes in the Kitsilano neighbourhood, we will be closing our 2873 West Broadway location permanently,” shared the bagel shop.

However, you still have time to visit this location before it closes, with its final day of operation being June 22.
“Come in and get your baked goods before then,” added the bakery. “Thank you Kitsilano for 30 Wonderful Years.”
