Group behind Michelin-recommended Vancouver restaurant to open ambitious dual concept, including a 290-seat project

We are only a couple of months away from the opening date of Social Corner’s highly anticipated Coal Harbour location, and there are now some more official details to share about the exciting new project and the other concept opening alongside it.
You may recognize the name Social Corner from its Yaletown location, which was first established in 2016. It’s best known for its standout space, as well as its menu featuring a fusion of Italian and Spanish offerings. It has also been included in the Michelin Guide’s list of recommended restaurants every year since 2022, when the Michelin Guide first launched in Vancouver.
Social Corner Coal Harbour
Brought to us by the Per Se Hospitality Group and led by owner Fabrizio Foz, this new restaurant is located along West Hastings Street inside the Guinness Tower at the address previously occupied by Chewies Steam and Oyster Bar. It’s also close to the Vancouver Convention Centre, as well as other notable establishments like the Fairmont Pacific Rim, Nightingale, and Joey Bentall One.
The space, designed in collaboration between Foz and Mansouri Design + Build, features plenty of luxurious materials and heritage details. Examples include a salvaged and refurbished hostess stand (which was originally a 130-year-old General Electric stand-up radio), walnut millwork and copper countertops throughout the space, and a striking Murano glass chandelier in the private dining room.
Additionally, Social Corner Coal Harbour will have not one, but two patios. The first will be a seasonal Mediterranean-style patio with a custom-built seven-tonne limestone fountain, while the other is a 120-seat enclosed year-round area with a 72-inch fireplace.
“We wanted to create spaces that feel like they’ve always belonged here, places locals can truly call their own,” said Foz. “This space was built by real people who touched every part of it, from the paintbrush to the pizza dough. That’s what our belief, ‘Real Dreams. Real People. Real Food’ is all about. We want every guest to feel like they’re part of that story, a story that’s textured, lived-in, and full of life.”

Social Corner Coal Harbour’s menu will feature more ocean-forward offerings, including fresh oysters, caviar, and seafood towers, as well as pescado frito (a coastal classic brought to life with crisp textures and bold citrus-forward seasonings).
But don’t worry, you’ll still be able to find plenty of Social Corner faves here as well, including its paella, pizzas, and the much-loved burger.

Ciclo Café and Cocktail Bar (plus gelato)
Opening alongside Social Corner Coal Harbour is a new Ciclo Café and Cocktail Bar location at the adjacent MNP Tower at 1020 W. Cordova St.
First available at Social Corner’s Yaletown location, and then outside of Acquafarina, this new Ciclo location will mark a significant evolution for the brand, introducing a full cocktail program for the very first time.
During the day, you’ll be able to enjoy an espresso, flaky pastry, or its signature Panino Porta, but at night, the space will become a stylish cocktail bar featuring curated small plates and signature drinks like the Ciclo Espresso Martini.
You’ll also be able to find a selection of handcrafted gelato flavours, developed in collaboration between Foz and Gelato by James.
Social Corner and Ciclo Espresso Coal Harbour will open their doors on Sept. 3, 2025.
